Why is it?

when you are waiting for your LO to wake up they sleep forever, but when you need them to sleep they wake up after like 30 minutes? I'm waiting for DS to wake up again so I can feed him before going to bed. He is going on 5 hours since eating last! The longest he has ever gone is 4 hours. Here's hoping he gives me that long of a stretch tonight as well!

Same here!
I'm wondering if I should dream feed my LO or not. I know as soon as I fall asleep that she will wake up.

I wonder this all of the time! I miss out on a lot of sleep because I'm anticipating DS waking up.

Totally this. It was true for DS as well. This time around, my 2.5 year old DS seems to sense when DD will sleep for a 6 hour stretch and he will wake up and come into our room for various reasons - blanket fell off his bed, wants to be tucked in again, etc. at 2-3 am. When DD is up every 3 hours in the night, DS sleeps straight through it. DH of course doesn't even notice any of this is going on. Lucky me. LOL
