Good Evening Ladies! I hope 2013 is bringing good things for everyone.  Looks like the new year is bringing new life to our board already, new ladies and some BFPs!!  

Please forgive me if I missed anyone's update. We welcome every member (graduates, current, lurkers, newbies etc.) to post an update each week. This gives us all an idea of where you are in your cycle or how you're doing. This is such a great place to meet other women in similar circumstances to share experiences, cheer each other on, get info and offer support.

Huge Congrats to our BFP women; you give us all hope that this WILL work!

wow am i the first to reply?!?  hope y'all dont mind me sticking around here a bit longer, i did intro on PAIF board but you all have been the most supportive and nicest group of ladies, and i want to stick around until I feel a little more sure about this lo.  I really cannot fully express what you all have meant to me during the past 6 months and how much your support had helped me!   

anyway, everything is status quo with me.  i will be 6 weeks friday and hoping hoping hoping it keeps sticking.  DH and i barely even talk about this pregnancy because we are feeling so cautious about it.  my first midwife appt is march 6.

QOTW:  i am the worst sleeper ever!  ever since i was a kid i have been so terrible at falling asleep, and going back to sleep if i happen to wake up at night.  i went through a phase for about a year that just ended a few months ago where i literally had insomnia 5 nights out of 7, just never felt tired at night.  finally i realized that "unplugging" after 9pm or so really helped me fall asleep.

We had IUI #1 last Wednesday. I started 2x a day progesterone supps on Friday and I have bloodwork to check those levels tomorrow.

I started my usual PMS symptom yesterday, like clockwork, like every other month. So, I'm not feeling remotely optimistic about this cycle anymore.

Random about me: I play the Viola. I've been playing since I was in 5th grade. Growing up and through college I played in an orchestra, but now I just play in our worship team on Sunday mornings.

Not much going on here...I go to the RE Friday for my follow up after my d&c.  Hoping my levels are down!  I really want to know what is going on inside my body.  After months and months of dreading AF...I am SO ready to see her!  The quicker she shows then the quicker I can try again.

 

QOTW:  I love candy.  I really really love it.  Particularly chocolate and sour candy.  I find myself stealing from the kids or hiding my stash somewhere so they can't find it.  I get more excited than they do when we go into a candy store.  Guess that part of me will never grow up!

I got a call from the nurse at the RE's office this evening and we are getting to start our first medicated cycle this month. I'm actually feeling pretty excited about it after my horrible day yesterday.  The only problem will be that our RE is 2.5 hours away. So it's going to be a busy month of traveling for everything. Luckily my boss is aware and ok with me taking some time off.

QOTW - I get to work from home and my dogs drive me nuts all day! I've read articles that say animals in the work place reduce stress. I strongly believe that is BS.

No major news on my end.  D&C tomorrow afternoon.  Have been bleeding a bit more but still haven't passed any large clots.  I am told I have to have only clear liquids today so I am trying to choke down a cup of black coffee!

QOTW:  I tend to obsess over things.

Today is 9dpIUI and 10dptrigger and I am going insane!  Testing out the trigger but it's still a solid second line, however I'm not getting my hopes up b/c I do think 9 days is a little early for a real positive, I'm assuming this is the trigger and just waiting for it to get lighter!!  I'm taking progesterone now to help up the levels a bit.  Other than a little crampy and feeling INSANE and getting mad at DH everyday, I'm hanging in there

QOTW: I was named after a baseball player - middle name is Lynn after Fred Lyn, my family are die hard Red Sox fans and he was rookie of the year and MVP the year I was born....I tried to get DH on board with naming DS after a Sox player (They won the World Series 5 days after he was born in 2007) but I couldn't convince him that "Jacoby" was a good name!

Well two months after mc and still waiting for HCG to hit 0. Last Wednesday it was 22. We'll see what today brings.

Update: i am 8dpo or 3dp5dt.  POAS at 12dpo (sunday) or at least that is the plan.  i havent even tested the trigger out.  Beta is 2-5! 

QOTW:  I am loving all these random facts!  My name is jeanna after my grandmother Jean, my mom is Jeanine, her sisters Justine and Jamie  yes there was even a dog named JJ.  so, I was the first grandchild so mom got creative with the spelling of Gina or Jean-na, I often respond to jena, g-anna.  It was funny when I was working I knew who knew me via email/fax bc they could never say my name right and those that knew me via the phone/in person bc they never spelled my name right.  My nickname was jeannaqueena by my family in high school.  Now I kinda hate my bump screen name except I like that it doesn't have numbers!!

Many T&Ps to you girls who need them!

I've always felt like more of a lurker since until last week we hadn't compelted our testing, didn't have a diagnosis, and weren't in the middle of a treatment protocol.  But all that is about to change.  We finally completed our testing last week when I had a hysteroscopy-- everything went well.  On this Friday, we meet with our RE to get a diagnosis and his recommended treatment protocol.  It's possible that we could start a treatment cycle almost right away. 

Really excited to finally reach this point-- and also really scared of failed treatments.  I finalyl feel like I can join in more on the board since I will be undergoing treatments instead of just trying on our own like we have for 2 years.

Lots of luck, girls!!  It feels silly to still have hope at this point, but I do.

Update : Break cycle. Found out DH will be gone again this month at peak time so February won't be our month.
QOTW : I LOVE to read. I don't have much time these days. I spend a lot of time reading to DD. I get my book fix that way.

Had my hcg checked Monday, it was down to 100. Have to go Monday when I get back from vacation for another level check.

Update: ER was Monday (12 eggs retrieved and 9 fertilized) and I'm scheduled for my 3dt tomorrow at 10:30 unless they call tomorrow to push back to a 5dt Saturday. 

QOTW: I'm a super perfectionist/control freak and with IF, the major house remodel and DD I'm really trying to let go... It's been REALLY hard!

Update: beta 2 on Tuesday was 4800.

Update: Taking a break before starting IVF. We'll probably start sometime in April.

QOTW: I was never a sweet tooth until i was pregnant with DS and then i ended up with GD. I still have a sweet tooth but i try not to indulge it too often.
