July 2015 Moms

Feeling so....UGLY?

Anyone else just feeling down-right gross? I just feel ugly, extremely fat, and my hair is this weird two toned brown/red color that I absolutely hate (was suppose to be purple but changed to red in two days and basically faded into a red striped ring around my head). I don't know, I feel like everyone says you are suppose to glow but honestly I have never felt so huge and ugly in my life! I feel like even my face is round. How about you ladies?

Re: Feeling so....UGLY?

  • I do too!!! Omg I feel hideous and like nothing fits and it frustrates me to get ready because I'm still going to look like a whale regardless
  • Loading the player...
  • Yup! No glow here!
  • I just cried about it too which is most likely hormonal and vain but I'm just not feeling it. And then I get pissed cause my mom isn't responding the way I want her too.

  • The best part is that Hd doesn't even know what to say because they aren't dealing with it so they get frustrated cuss were frustrated lol
  • I'm feeling it too.. i have gotten these horrible patches of dry inflamed skin near my eyes and acne like I've never had :(
  • I feel the exact same way. I went to get my hair done this week so that helped a lot. I had an ombré look going but hadn't touched up in months :/. I've been trying to fix my hair, wear makeup, do my nails, anything to make me feel a little better.
  • Agree getting dressed is challenging
  • I had to get a new drivers license and they took my picture :( my face is huge! Now I'll always be reminded of my fat prego face.

I call bull@*&$ on this supposed glow! I feel positively beluga-esque. I agree that having my hair done is a nice pick-me-up though :)

    Ugh. My face.

My body I can deal with. I'm pregnant, things change, I'll survive.

But oh my poor ugly face.
Bags under my eyes, enough acne to make a 15 year old feel good about themselves, just plain tired looking skin.
And my hair :'( it's dry, frizzy, constantly tangled.

It really is true what they say about little girls sucking the beauty out of you!

My mom told me that. I told her my LO is going to be gorgeous because I feel hideous. Lol
  • Yes! I have days where I get out of the shower and I'm like ahh what's the sence of doing my make up today?... Last week its like I woke up & my thighs & face were bigger. But only 2 more months to go.!!
  • Omg thought I was only 1 feeling like a fat whale n all boyfriend keeps sayin is ur pregnant not fat which isn't making me feel any better tbh
  • Totally feeling it and it doesn't help that I find pictures of others girls in their bikinis in my boyfriends phone. This is getting hard and not only do I have my baby girl on the way but I have decisions to make. Hang in there ladies.
  • Everyone says I look great.....but I certainly don't feel that way. Some days are better than others. I was 170 before pregnancy but very active going to the gym and building muscle. Then I got pregnant and all that stopped. Now I'm 207 pounds and feel so bad like I need to justify it to everyone. I am not eating the best all the time which is my fault. But I am hungry and crave carbs. I don't want to be too hard on myself because that will stress me out bad. Ughhhhh
  • I feel like a sloppy mess too ladies. Thank God for my husband. He constantly says to me, "the bigger the better, momma."

But remember it's only temporary. You have the rest of your life to be fabulous. Enjoy this miraculous moment.
  • That's me feel so ugly. I'm at the salon right now. Getting my hair and eyebrows done. I hope it will make me feel way better I want to do those sexy maternity pics so I better be feeling sexy next month or so.
  • Wow i agree with all the above!!!! I feel ugly to and fat and my skin is not feeling it at all. My husband tells me " dont start you have a baby inside it will all go away soon" it sucks that he will never know what is like to have a growing human inside to understand me.
  • I feel like a beached whale! I don't even want my maternity pictures taken! I am also pregnant with twins & was 99 pounds when I concieved, so I am feeling very LARGE.
  • @kfisher1989 yes I was 110, I've gained probably 25 pounds I'm so over it

My hubby says the same thing!! So frustrating. And I agree with everyone else. It feels so selfish sometimes but I just want to cry because I feel so ugly and gross!
  • Same pinch! Feeling like a balloon

I have my sister in laws wedding in two weeks... Every dress looks like I'm wearing a tent! Oh and I have her bachelorette party next weekend! Bar hoping and dancing!! Kill me now!!
  • I have felt beyond disgusting most of my pregnancy. I weighed 168 before I got pregnant and am now 204. It doesn't help that I have been in bed rest since February as well with IC so I haven't been able to workout or anything for this pregnancy which is my first. I've also have acne like crazy and most of it is on my chest and back and nothing is helping. It's not just acne either it's dry as well so it itches. I feel just so gross and it drives me nuts that everything I shave or pluck my eyebrows it's like they grow back super quick. I haven't taken 1 picture of myself since Thanksgiving.
  • I definitely feel ugly. I feel fat and gross. It doesnt help when people tell me I dont look pregnant because then its like thanks I'm just fat than. It also sucks that 2 of my family members are pregnant and due a month apart from me and my family constantly compares all of us. I hate it. I don't have that lovely glow everyone talks about. I just can't wait for July to get here.

Same here! I am having a baby girl, and they say that if you are having a girl, they suck away all your glow. True or not, I will go with it, and told baby girl she can have it but when I pop her, better use her own, coz I want my own back. This makes me giggle and not mind for the remainder of 10 weeks and imagine therefore she will be just absolutely gorgeous :)

Jewels1783, Wear a maxi dress with a long cardigan. It will optically stretch you and the cardigan will only let eyes focus on your bump. ;)
  • I have got terrible dark circles under my eyes pretty much constantly, breakouts all over the place, and my hair... Well let's just say it has never been this bad in my life!
I keep reminding myself that's it's temporary and totally worth it but right now I'm feeling pretty low.
I hope all you other mamas can hang in there, we're getting closer to the prize!
  • I hope this article may bring peace and acceptance to us all on our "ugly" days. They won't last forever.

  • I just can't stand the very dry crack skin.. I feel so ugly... my face is alwsys dry.. I don't look pregnant.. ughh
  • When my nose started to swell I knew I was having a girl ... happened with my oldest daughter and to my mom when she was pregnant with me!
  • I'm feeling it too.  I feel enormous, and I've gained so much weight!  People keep telling me that I'm all belly but then I saw pictures of myself from the weekend and they are totally full of &*^!  I am trying to concentrate on the fact that I physically feel pretty good and so how I look is temporary, but it's hard.

Yep, I'm feeling ugly too. More acne than before pregnancy. Acne in places that I haven't had acne before (back, chest). I feel like I have an oily face all the time and I'm pretty sure I have a double chin now. Yet my hair is as dry and frizzy as it could be no matter how much I condition it. Definitely not feeling the "glow".
