Mullet/Rat Tail

I want my daughter's hair to grow in, but the top just isn't growing at the pace of the back. It's beginning to look a tad bit trashy. I'm fighting myself to not trim it.

My LO has the opposite problem.  Lots of long on top (that falls into her eyes, etc.) and shorter in the back.  I want it all to be even - I don't want to cut bangs. 

If I were you, I'd cut the back only, until the top and sides have evened with it.

DD had a regular mullet before I finally caved.  Just got her hair cut on Saturday and I must say it looks really cute.  Kind of pixie-like, less Joe Dirt-like.

Now it should grow out more evenly.  Chop the mullet IMO.

I had a mullet until I was about 3. My hair just didn't grow on top as fast as the back and my mom refused to cut it. Yeah, it was a really good look.

I feel like if I attempted to pig tail her mullet, it would truly transform into a rat tail.
