Alright, I have to come clean. I have eaten so terribly today. I've had probably five or six bowls of corn flakes (most of them back-to-back, in two different sittings), two servings of applesauce, and half a Kid's Cuisine. Where is the protein? Who knows. But the carbs are here in excess. Ugh.
I had McDonald's for lunch. I supersized the fries, too. Then I brought it to the office so there would be no evidence left at home.
Leave no evidence! Haha.
I got home to DD2 playing with a McD's wrapper. I tried to play it cool "Hey where'd that come from?" but DH wasn't fooled "That came from your lunch". Oops.
Oh, btw, I'm the worst mother ever. I swore up and down that DD was 18 months today. Nope, 17 months. Wth is wrong with me???? My grandpa is the one who pointed it out to me. Funny part? I argued with him and came on TB to check my ticker. He of course laughed at me because, ya know, I could have just counted.
lol, that's okay. I never really know how many months DD2 is until I take a moment to count.
I know the feeling. Heck I have to look at my ticker to know how far along I am. Actually, I have a weekly reminder in my outlook calendar letting me know what week I'm at.
I'm kind of stoked to find out that DD1's teacher wants her to participate in Accelerated Reader at her school. We're reading her first AR book right now, and even though I know there are lots of kids who are great readers, I'm having a proud-mommy moment knowing that she's in the group of kids who are ahead of the game.
Ohhhhhhh, good to know. I think I know what most of the regs here look like. I'm lost on you. We're you the gal that was into renaissance fairs and stuff?
Nope, you're thinking
of someone else. I'm not sure
what my identifying quality would
be.
I know who you're thinking al, she had two SNs. It's at the tip of my tongue. She posted about not wanting to hang on this board anymore because she didn't feel like she "belonged" here anymore because since being single, she doesn't have much to contribute. Some may have taken her post differently than others. Meh, you win some, you lose some.
That was Roselis. Can't remember what her old SN was though
I think I remember what you look like NF, did you have pink hair at one time? Idk, but I'm sure I recall what you look like. I say you post a pic, like meow!
It was red!
I can't be bothered to find a more recent pic (I could flip through FB but I'm lazy right now), so here's one that's, like, two years old. Whatever, I look the same. Add a few pounds.
Well, I'm not doing much else, but I am doing laundry. I put DD2's blocks out for her earlier and she decided swiping her arms back and forth through them was fun, so now there are blocks ALL OVER the living room floor and under the couches. Man, I do not want to bend down to pick up all those blocks, lol. She also pulled some books off the bookshelf. Botheration!
I wish I were rid of this hip pain. =(
The girls spilled their blocks all over and I thought "Whatever, they'll just play with them again later". Then I got up this morning and one of the cats had puked all over them. Awesome.
I just hate wasting my precious dollars on it knowing how unlikely it is I would win.
You just reminded me I need to bring in $5 for our office lotto group. I doubt we'll ever win, but I sure as hell don,t want to be the one left behind if we do!
DD2 has miraculously been sleeping for two hours. As contrary as it runs to my inclination, I should probably wake her up soon.
Does anyone else totally lose their nerve when they know they need to wake their kid up and then walk in and see them sleeping so peacefully?
They're just so freaking cute and angelic.
could you just leave her and pray she treated her late nap as an early bedtime?
I'm probably going to try that. Though I'll most likely end up regretting it when she wakes up refreshed at 10 or 11 pm, lol.
good thing you're pulling an all nighter....
I guess she solved the problem for me, lol. She's up.
At least you don't have to wake her up yourself. lol
Also, this quote tree is inspiring me a new challenge: who wants to try to make the most epic (read: longest) quote tree EVAR?
Edit - And just to make it legit, it has to be people actually responding to each other, allright?
I can dig it.
To add to the conversation, DD2 is now running rampant. I'm just letting her DESTROY to her heart's content right now because a) it will make her sleep again sooner, and b) I already have a hell of a mess to clean up anyway. She only has so many more toys she can scatter, lol.

Freaking GROSS. The one thing that I legitimately hate about cats, aside from the fact that they don't fcuking listen, is that they randomly puke in the most inconvenient places! ARGH.

Is Toddzilla still up?
I juuuuust put her in her crib. WITH a bottle, for good measure. Bad mama. But whatever, kid needs to sleep and I need to not hear screaming at bed time for the first bed time in, like, three days.
DA FUQ. I'm trying to Google something and Google is not loading. Seriously? Facebook loaded in a split second. TB loaded just a tad more slowly. Google can't bring it's @ss to my browser after a full minute?
Jack still gets a bottle. I guess I should be taking it away. I'm thinking I'm going to put less and less coconut milk in it every night. Maybe take two weeks to completely get rid of it.
