postpartum reshaping girdles

As any one purchase/tired a postpartum shaping girdle? If so, do you think it helps or is needed?

I have a friend who used one and loved it. She said it helped out a lot with support. And she claims it helped her get back to her regular size faster.

My doctor provided one for me in the hospital and it helped a lot. I felt very jiggly and off balance for about 2 weeks postpartum, and this helped me feel more like a normal person. Not sure about getting back to a normal size faster, but it helped me feel like myself sooner.
