Hi.
LO turns three months today. No real signs of acid reflux, silent or otherwise. He's BF and supplemented with bottles one to two times a day.
Just in the last five or six days he has been spitting up an exorbitant amount. He seems fine and happy, but then loses fifty to one-hundred percent of most feedings. I have no idea what's going on. I've tried changing when I burp him - space burp breaks out, put breaks closer together, but nothing works. It happens for BFing and bottles.
Anyone else experiencing this? So frustrated and starting to get worried it's not just a phase . . .
Re: Suddenly Spits Up All the Time?
Thank you both for the feedback. I'm thinking it might be a combo as he's probably in the middle of his 3-month growth spurt at this moment -- maybe eating as much as he can get his hands on, so to speak. That makes a lot of sense. And, also, the fact that he's been congested for almost the last six-seven weeks (poor guy). I've been noticing in the urps that there is quite a bit of mucous, so hopefully that is finally clearing his system as he has not seemed as congested the past two days.
Thank you!
I started looking at my food after my daughter would spit up tons for a few days, then nothing for a few days, then tons again. I felt like it should be more consistent, so I was trying to figure out if something was contributing to it that I only ate sometimes, but often.
