I am just wondering what your experience is with them? I have been doing them for several months. I just pick up the med at the pharmacy and do them myself. Not a problem and much cheaper. This month, I found myself running out of gas early and wanting my shot. I waited until a day before it was due. I feel like a nut wanting to shoot up with a vitamin, but it makes such a difference for me. I also take B complex by mouth, without the same results. I am just wondering what dose and how often others take B12 by injection. I felt better when it was every 2 weeks.
Re: One more, does anyone else do B12 shots?
Yes, I just started B12 injections back in October. I've only had two since then, so I'm SUPER jealous that you get your injections bi-weekly or monthly! I didn't really notice a huge difference when I got my first shot, but I REALLY noticed a boost after my January injection. My PCP said that the oral supplement will really only help to slightly sustain your plateau, once the injection gets you to appropriate level. Essentially, he said that the oral might lengthen the duration of the injection by a few weeks (vs. if you didn't take the oral at all). On its own, the oral supplement really does nothing to increase the deficiency.
