Hello there!
I use to be very active on this board, so I thought I would post here and see if there is any interest!
Resolve is doing Walk of Hope in Nor Cal this year! It's very early in the planning stage, and my friend Cindy is looking for volunteers! I'm reposting for her, in case anyone is interested!
Thanks,
Renee
Hi Ladies,
I am excited to announce that the RESOLVE Walk of Hope is coming to Northern California in the fall of 2013!
The planning has just begun and RESOLVE has asked me to provide a tentative list of interested volunteers in the next week or two. If you're interested please email me directly at cindyflynn@gmail.com. In your email please include your full name, email, where you are located (i.e. Sacramento/Bay Area/etc.) and any skills/experience that you feel would be helpful in planning an event like this. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to help. I'm asking for a general idea of where you are located so that we know if we have volunteers in specific areas when looking for sponsorships and who is located near the actual walk site. At this point I don't know the location of the walk other than it will be in Sacramento or the bay area.
We're just starting out so we're looking for both committee chairs and volunteers for the individual committees. Volunteering doesn't have to be a big commitment, it could be as simple as helping with setup or clean up on the day of the event to chairing a planning committee or somewhere in between. Right now we're just looking for people that would be interested in helping in some capacity.
Once I have the list of interested volunteers I will send it to Resolve and we'll work with them on the next steps. It may be a little while before we have a volunteer meeting while we work out some logistics, so please be patient while we get the ball rolling.
Even if you can't volunteer I hope we'll see you and your team there on walk day!
Cindy
