ok. 2 wks ago a light came on in my car saying i had low pressure in one of my tires. dh airs it up. yesterday, the light comes on again. dh thinks i have a slow leak and i need to take the car in and get the tire repaired.
i make an appt. they don't *seem* that busy but over an hour later, they tell me the news.
"did you fill up the air in your tires?"
"no my husband did"
"oh. well you had TOO much pressure in your tires and that's what caused the light to come on again."
thanks so much dh. i wait a flippin' hour for someone to tell me that maybe using an air gauge isn't such a bad idea!
i think i'm going to start taking this car maintenance into my own hands.
Re: my husband so NOT a mechanic
Mine thinks he is- and he is not.... grr...
hahahaa!! Sorry, my DH is a mechanic, so this cracks me up. I hear stories every night about wanna-be-mechanics and how bed they eff'd up their car.
On the good side- no damage was done to your car.
