xp: ParaGard users

I am seriously considering getting ParaGard instead of going back on the pill. I would like to hear about your experience if you've used it before, good or bad. My main questions are a) did it make your periods longer, heavier, and/or crampier and b) how long did it take you after having it removed to get pregnant?

My periods were definitely heavier with bad cramping (which I never had before). I could also feel it in certain positions when we had sex. That being said, it was non-horomonal, and I didn't have any of those side effects. I am getting it again.
