Anyone watch The Carrie Diaries? I love SATC, but I'm not sure if I liked this prequel.  What age is the targeted audience?  I feel like it's for teens, but yet also for nostalgic 30-40 somethings.

    I agree, I think it's trying to cash in on a new audience (who will then probably go out and buy the DVDs of the original), but also hook the original audience.  I only watched SATC on repeats, so I missed many episodes (and they were censored).  I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure I care enough to watch the new show.

    I watched 90 percent of it last night and I was kind of sad. It seems to be targeted towards teenagers and kind I felt like it was like the babysitters club. I'm a huge satc fan so I'm going to try to embrace it for a couple more weeks.

    Wait wait. What channel is this on? I haven't heard about it. I loves SATC, so I definitely want to check it out.

    In other TV related news, 'Bunheads' is trying way to hard to be the new 'Gilmore Girls' which is causing me to love and hate it all at once. No one can take Lorelai's place, dammit!

    If it's on CW it is definitely for younger girls. That makes me sad.

    It seemed a little odd to me that in this show Carrie has a sister and seems really close to her dad.nbsp;nbsp; I always pictured Carrie as an only child of a single mom.nbsp; I don't think they addressed much of Carrie's back story in SATC, so I could be off but this just seemed wrong.nbsp;

    I agree I was thrown off by the fact her mother died and I kept trying to think threw SATC trying to remember I this was ever addressed, but I don't think it was.
    It was OK, but I think it is aimed at the younger audience. However I won't be surprised if it gets better in a few episodes.
