I'll let DH think it's his idea

A few months ago, when discussing opening a savings account for DS to save money for his future college expenses, I mentioned to DH that we should open a 529 plan for him because it is geared towards that goal specifically. I read about it in a parenting magazine and that's where I got the idea. DH didn't seem to show any interest as we talked more about savings accounts. Fast forward to today, DH tells me that a regular that comes into work who works as an accountant told him to open a 529 plan for DS because it is for college and there are tax benefits that come with it.... or something to that effect. It took all my strength to hold back from saying "that's what I was talking about months ago" and instead I said "ok that sounds like a good idea, let's go do it!"
