After my post yesterday got a lot of "my kid can't eat that much in a day" I got to thinking what do the other kiddos eat typically in a day? I'm fully aware J eats like a grown man/ bottomless pit and he's not the norm but what's your typical schedule/ meal plan? Oh and for the ladies jealous of my 3lb weight gain don't be.... just means I'm going to have another bottomless pit boy and I'm going to need a 2nd job to feed these 2 LOL For all J eats he is only 32lbs and I can see his ribs and hip bones so I don't know where it's all going!
Breakfast- 2 waffles or scrambled eggs or oatmeal, a piece of fruit, 1-2 glasses of milk
Snacks about every 20-30 minutes- Crackers, squisher pouches, fruit, raw veggies, apple sauce, water
Lunch- Chicken nuggets, cheese pizza, or gerber raviolis stuffed with meat n veggie, piece of fruit, some veggies, some crackers, string cheese, 1-2 glasses of milk, some water, maybe some crystal light
More snacking about every 20-30 minutes
Dinner- Whatever we're having and some fruit and veggies, 1-2 glasses of milk, dessert (a cookie, a popsicle, or some sorbet- depends what I'm having because he just shares it with me) ETA -Dessert is not an every night thing. Especially with my GD but if that boy sees me with a popsicle or sorbet I have to share a bite or two lol Mostly our dessert is an apple or berries.

Re: LO's eating habits/menus
Your list probably represents about a month of eating in A's world.
Breakfast: half a waffle, half a sippy of milk. Sometimes a clementine.
Lunch: 2 slices of thick cut turkey. Sometimes a slice of cheese, sometimes that ends up on the floor.
Snack: Grammy Sammy, fruit, or crackers.
Dinner: chicken nuggets (usually he will eat 2 or 3), veggie pouch (half? sometimes whole thing). Or he will have pasta, chicken...usually leftovers of what we had the night before, so yesterday he ate meatloaf, and he actually at about 3/4 of a slice so I was happy. A few bites and he is done.
Dessert: Sometimes fruit, sometimes ice cream, sometimes graham crackers.
Cup of milk before bed.
Hazel is 25lbs/35ish" and a big eater by 2yo standards
Breakfast: (1) wafflle(no syrup)/ cereal/ oatmeal and (1) yogurt/ fruit cup/ applesauce
Lunch: (1) yogurt/ fruit cup/ applesauce/ pb&j on a wrap/ leftovers
Dinner: whatever we are having (usually crockpot awesomeness, pea soup is a favorite) portioned into this dish
Snacks: (2-3/day) string cheese, crackers, carrots/celery & pb/hummus, sliced fruit/grapes/ berries
C's very tall (75-90%) but only just now 25% for weight. It's not a particularly picky eater for a toddler, but I also expect a lot out of him according to my mom (healthy eating-wise). This is what we offer him, he doesn't always eat it all but most.
Breakfast: most of a waffle with fruit spread, 4-6oz milk, half banana or other fruit pieces
Snack - 1 thing - piece of fruit, 2 mini healthy muffins, chz stick or goldfish w/water
Lunch: usually small yogurt, 2-3 whole wheat crackers w/almond butter, steamed veggie - like broccoli, mix veg, peas, etc., 4-6oz milk
Snack: 1 thing - similar to above, water
Dinner: whatever we're having but that almost always includes a protein, veggie, and healthy grain, 4-6oz milk
Dessert: Doesn't always have it but sometimes one of the snacks above or a rare treat like a mini cupcake or a cookie (really not often though)
3-4oz milk before bedYay Hazel for putting away the food! How does she do eating soup? J is such a mess with rice I'm afraid to give him soup for fear he'll dump it on his head or pour it on the floor. J uses about the same size bowls as H does.
A GOOD eating day:
Breakfast: half-whole one egg omelette with cheese plus 4 oz or so of milk
Snack: 1/2 cup cheddar bunnies and tiny bowl of raisins
Lunch: grilled cheese sandwich with 1/4 cup veggies
Snack: tablespoon of peanut butter and 5 pretzels
Dinner: maybe 1/4 cup of whatever we're having
Throughout the day: usually an apple or banana
BAD day:
Breakfast: two spoonfuls of cheerios, handful of raisings
Snack: two slices of apple
Lunch: a few spoonfuls of noodles
Snack: handful of pretzels while shrieking "Don't like this!!!
Dinner: a bite of whatever we're having, more "Don't like it!" some apple, oranges, or other fruit
with a few small sippies of milk throughout the day
So, basically we range from almost enough food to not nearly enough. Sigh....
J loves soup - he drinks it out of the bowl, like a cup, then eats any chunks.
Here's yesterday:
Breakfast: 1/2 of a Fage yogurt cup + 1 graham cracker, some cheerios and a cup of milk on the way to school.
Snack - Carrot sticks & cheese cubes - he eats 1-2 of each + water
Lunch - bean burrito (normal size tortilla) and peaches - he eats most of it + milk
Snack - goldfish + water
He drinks a cup of milk and has a cracker or two on the way home from DC
Dinner - 1 slice Meatloaf, 1/4c peas, and 1/2c cauliflower - he ate about half. We don't do desert but he sometimes gets a cutie or graham cracker. He thinks his gummy vitamin is desert...
Cup of milk during storytime.
DS typically eats a pancake and "dip dips" it in a fruit puree (from a pouch, and then sucks down the rest of the pouch) and also eats some sort of dry cereal and drinks a Danimal for breakfast.
Then he goes to daycare and about 1.5 hours later they have breakfast there (depends on the day but it's things like bagels & cream cheese, or cereal and milk, etc.). His new DC is Montessori-style and so the food is left out for like an hour and the kids can help themselves. DS likes to make multiple trips.
At lunch I now pack his lunch and it amazes me how much he's eating! He eats everything I pack. (For example yesterday was 4 chicken nuggets, freeze-dried veggies, milk, a strawberry breakfast bar, and raisins.)
And then there's an afternoon snack. Which is usually like crackers & cheese or something. Again it's free reign and DS usually takes seconds.
Then for dinner it's whatever we're having... and then usually if DD is eating dessert (especially ice cream) he'll ask for some.
Have you tried kale chips? Griffin will down these like they're real chips. Basically you just rip the kale off of the stems so it's in large chunks, spread it on a baking sheet, and toss with olive oil and a little salt & pepper. I use Lawry's seasoning salt so they're salty. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes, stirring a few times. They come out crunchy and salty, and Griffin loves them.
LO is only in the 15th% for weight, but he literally eats more than I do...and I am definitely NOT in the 15th percentile for weight. Yeah, I'm jealous.
Typical Day
Breakfast: Oatmeal (2 packages of Natures Path Oatmeal)
Fruit (2 peaches or 1 cup of berries)
Ham or eggs (1 each)
Lunch: Peanut butter and banana sandwich (he eats the whole thing)
Banana (1 whole)
Cottage cheese (1/2 cup)
Crackers (15 Annie cheddar crackers)
Dinner: Meat or Fish (about 3 oz)
Pasta or rice
Cooked veggies (1 cup)
Apple or peach or kiwi (sometimes 2 of these)
Peanut Butter Graham cracker-2
He drinks 25oz milk per day, water as requested and eats fruit or pouches for snacks.
Breakfast: Scrambled eggs, yogurt, toast and fruit, milk
Lunch: Turkey, string cheese, some kind of fruit, maybe half a roll, milk
Snack: Fruit and some crackers (or something similar)
Dinner: Some kind of protein (grilled chicken, turkey meatball, etc.), peas, a fruit, maybe three or four baked lays (she loves them), milk
I make a concerted effort not to let her snack during the day so she actually eats her meals. Seems to work pretty well!
That's so funny you mentioned these because I was just about to make them for the first time with Sriracha on them. Duh, I never thought about making them toddler friendly! Thanks.
Mind you, all of this depends on the day..
Breakfast: 1 waffle and some fruit or one egg and some fruit or a yogurt and some fruit.
Breakfast 2: Whatever they serve at daycare. Waffle and fruit, cereal and fruit...
Lunch: Something at daycare. Could be nuggets, pasta with meat sauce, sloppy joes, etc. Vegetable, fruit, and a carb. Whether or not she even eats this meal at all is a crap shoot.
Snack: Again, daycare, lately it's been Goldfish and water, which I am less than amused by.
Snack 2: If we are late going home I give her a pouch or a granola bar or a banana.
Dinner: Hit or miss depending on how eating at daycare went. I serve whatever we are eating, which is usually some sort of meat, a veggie, and a side.
She generally drinks 3-4 sippies of milk through the day.

Either a muffin, a waffle or oatmeal with sippy cup of milk.
Lunch
Either a small bowl of pasta, chicken nuggets (maybe 4 or 5) and fries, man n cheese, a grilled cheese sandwich or p&b sandwich.
Supper
Usually a small portion of what we're having.
He has a snack between breakfast and lunch, a snack between lunch and supper and a snack before bedtime. He chooses between yogurt , fruit cup, crackers, tofu, string cheese, banana, grapes, kids granola bar, kids cheesies or jello.
Totally depends on the day and some of this can vary, but here's an example:
Breakfast: milk (drinks throughout the morning), a waffle, yogurt and piece of fruit
Snack: crackers of some kind
Lunch: leftovers or a whole sandwich, fruit, another sippy of milk/water, some pretzels
Snack: cheese, crackers, pretzels or fruit
Dinner: this is where he starts to get picky - won't usually eat what we're eating, but we could do cottage cheese, apple sauce, jello, crackers, cut up veggies and some of what we're having
Dessert: most nights, he'll get one cookie

Can vary, but....he's a big eater
Breakfast: milk, a waffle/or toast/or cereal with milk, fruit of some sort. Often he snags some of my oatmeal & raisins too.
Second breakfast: at daycare - milk, some grain & fruit.
Lunch: daycare lunch - usually an entree with whole grain & protein, a veg, a fruit & dairy
Snack at daycare: crackers, pretzels cereal, or fruit
Dinner: Milk + Small portions of whatever we're having - he is such an omnivore, which is great: we always have a veggie of some sort, protein & whole grain. He loves fish, soup, pasta, pretty much anything.
Sometimes he gets a snack or after dinner - or if it's a night when dinner is running late - before dinner.
DD's eating is so all over the place.
Typically:
Breakfast: 1/4 cup of cereal and a sippy of milk.
Lunch: slice of bread (she always picks out the sandwich middle and just eats the bread, occasionally she'll eat the middle separately), fruit cup (or an equivalent amount of fresh fruit), and a 1/4 cup yogurt.
Snack: graham cracker and milk
Dinner: 1/4 cup pasta and sauce. (Meat is picked out.)
If she skips a meal it is usually dinner, and she does that often. And sometimes she eats 1/4 of pizza like she did last night.

Holy Moly your buddy does eat a lot! For what it's worth, my kid is tiny though. 25lber and only 33in, so he probably doesn't hold as much.
Breakfast: breakfast bar or about 1/4 c of cereal or oatmeal, sometimes half a banana or 1/4 c of yogurt if he's really hungry and he'll sip from his milk
Lunch: I pack for daycare in a divided tupperwear. Usually something like half a sandwich, an apple, and some green beans. A cup of milk.
2:00 Snack: Whatever daycare provides - usually a graham cracker or a small muffin, etc. A cup of water.
4:00 snack at home: 1/4 c of goldfish crackers or a few slices of cheese or some grapes, etc. in a bowl. A cup of milk or water (he chooses)
Dinner: Whatever we are having - main dish, fruit, veggie on a toddler divided plate A cup of milk or water that he usually doesn't drink.
Breakfast - He does best w/ oatmeal - he usually eats almost the whole portion. Other things he'll have are half a piece of toast w/ cream cheese, about half a waffle & fresh fruit if we have it & water. He also has about 1/2 cup of milk when he wakes up.
Snack - pouch & crackers & about 1/3 cup of milk
Lunch - examples are: 1/4 PB&J, 2 chicken nuggets & 5 steamed baby carrots, 1/4 a cheese & tomato quesadilla w/ half an avocado, a small bowl of pasta w/ sauce
Snack - nutrigrain bar, 1/3 cup of milk
dinner - usually a couple bites of whatever it is we're having & then fruit or yogurt for dessert
