I was unpacking some boxes in the garage from our move (OMG I'm so tired of boxes!!!) I found a box of fabric from some project. I have like.......5 yards of fleece. I think I bought it to make the kids sweat pants (WTF was I thinking? I can barely make pillowcases!)
I came across a DIY project for making fleece gDiaper inserts. Can I just use any kind of fleece? I have flannel too. Its really thick
Re: Fleece DIY question
I know micro fleece works a a stay-dry layer and I just make fleece covers but they're waterproof-ish.
I'm guessing it has to be like hemp fleece or bamboo fleece?
Polyester is not absorbent, so no. Although pants are super easy to make, they are a great beginner project.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7fAyx-_byh0 <-- Here's a tutorial on making pants out of a tshirt, but you can alter it to using folded over fleece and it would work just as well. (I also love this blogger, she's amazing)

Its this kind of fleece

That answers that.
I tried making Buddy pants, Woah I don't know what I did (I even followed a pattern) and they were crazy small, and awkward shaped.
If I were you, I would not use a pattern but instead base your cuts off of a pair of pants that already fits your kid.
I don't use patterns, I just kind of make things up as I go along.
