For those of you who've had Csections for both- I'm just curious is the recovery harder for a twins pregnancy than a singleton pregnancy? Or is it more or less the same?
My twins were worse. I couldng even make it to the nursery to peep in at the boys. After a couple days it started getting better but it took a couple weeks before I could stand up straight. I am not sure if having my tubes tied is what made it worse or being almost 6 years older made it worse but rember thinking "man, this was unexpected".
Mine was better. With my singleton, I had a long, hard recovery. With my twins, it was so much easier. I don't know if it was because I knew what to expect and my limitations, or whether the strain of being pregnant with twins made post-surgery seem easier. With my singleton, I was in the hospital 5 days. I was out 2 days later with my twins.
Mine was slightly harder but the nurse also told me that each c - section is a little harder than the one before. The twin pregnancy was my 2nd c-section.
My triplets were our first...I had so much adrenaline pumping, so many other things to worry about...my healing process was really pretty easy. I felt like my 2nd CS, with my singleton, was a harder recovery.

I've never had a singleton, but I found my c/s recovery quite easy. The first 24-48hrs were tough, but I was off of all painkillers shortly after discharge -- by the end of week one, I was feeling pretty good (with obvious limitations), but I was by no means limited by being post-op at that stage.
If I had to guess - twins or singleton isn't really the variable that matters. I think c/s on the whole are so different for everyone, regardless of how many babies!

I've only had one c/s as I am pregnant with my singleton and hoping for a vbac this time. I found the recovery really difficult for me. I was discharged after 3 nights and thankfully I was able to stay in the hospital for another 2 nights because I was dreading how I would get off the toilet without the bar and sink to pull up on. I went home on the Friday and I could finally get on and off the toilet on my own. I don't think it has to do with the amount of children you birth in 1 shot, I think it depends on you and how you recover.
Re: C section recovery- ? the same or harder for twins (compared to singletons)
