This was me!! I kept saying how hungry I was as I was pushing! Mind you I pushed for over 2.5 hours!

I don't expect a push present. DH was deployed when our first baby was born so his presence will be a present in itself!

This is ridiculous!  I would never expect a present for giving birth. My present is the baby!!    That's what I worked so hard for, right?!

I'm on the non push present side of the fence as well.

I don't wear a lot of jewelry and besides he knows that I find a lot of it a waste of money. I would never demand, ask for or expect a present.  It makes it even more weird to think that people ask for things like a purse or random jewelry. Now if it's spontaneous, I can see a husband picking up a charm for his wife's charm bracelet or a ring w/ the babies birth stone but a random diamond ring or a  Dooney and Burke bag for poppin' out a kid? Nope. Don't get it.

   Now, If DH wanted to surprise me with a card , flowers or food, I am all for it!

While I don't think of it as a "push present", I do want some special jewelry to commemorate each of our future kids.  I've mentioned to H before that a charm bracelet would be an amazing gift, and wouldn't it be cool to have something like that to mark the birth of our children?  

I won't be pissy if I don't get something, I'd probably just go pick it out on my own
