I have had this pain in the middle of my stomach on the left side on and off for a few days. It might just be LO hitting it over and over again and it is getting sore, but is this normal? I think she may have turned, so I think her head is down now and her feet might be in the area that is sensitive... any thoughts?
Baby #1 Due 2/21/13!
Re: Isolated pain... is this normal?
Could be RLP.
I have been having a pain right at the top of my belly. It comes and goes but when it's hurting the softest touch feels like a knife. I asked my MW about it and she said it's my abs separating.
I have had it too on the bottom right. I dont think its my skin stretching cause my skin is itchy on the left side. This is on the inside. Its not very painful but uncomfortable. This happened a couple of times yesterday and I also noticed (sorry TMI) a thicker discharge. Today, I saw the same with blood. Maybe bloody show?? My baby was guesstimated weighing 5 lbs close to a month ago. I dont think he'll be waiting to come in Feb. I would just keep and eye out for any changes in discharge and constant contractions. It may be stretching or Braxton Hicks. Good luck!
I had this with my first pregnancy. I thought it was just little man pushing his butt in the same spot... turned out to be my abs detaching (not just separating... which is normal) in one spot. Super gross. Just had to be extra careful with sitting up for a little bit. Lucky for me it ended up healing just fine and my baby #2 is down super low and away from the ol' injury. lol
Good luck!
I have this pain. I had it with my last pregnancy too. Mine is on my right side, a couple (few?) inches above my belly button, but definitely off to the side. It feels like a bruise that someone is holding constant pressure on. It's really, really irritating after awhile.
I get weekly u/s so the baby can be monitored. When I was in there a week ago, I asked the tech if there were any limbs or anything right in that spot. It turns out that it's LO's butt. Whenever he stretches or pushes, his butt presses on that spot. He's moved a little since then, so it's not as painful.
