Hi ladies, I've been lurking for a while and decided to come over here from TTGP. I have not been a super active poster, more just to read and learn and offer up congrats and words of support and prayers.

My husband and I (33 and 34) have been TTC since August 2011. We had a surprise unplanned pregnancy in March 2011, which thrilled us beyond belief. Then we had a IUFD that June at 20 weeks. We started trying again immediately after we got the go ahead from my OB. We had a BFP November 2011, ended in m/c @ 7 weeks.

So after 13 more consecutive cycles of temping, OPKs, and lots of BD with 13 BFNs, I called my OB who essentially told me just to relax and have more sex. I was disappointed by his lack of concern, but I also wanted to give credit to his 30+ years of practice. Then on Thanksgiving, I went to my husband's aunt's house and met one of her other nieces, who is an OBGYN. We got chatting, and she offered me an appointment and a referral to an RE. She ordered lab work for several different days of my cycle, a HSG, which she performed, and SA for DH. Everything turned out completely normal so far except that during HSG one of my tubes was partially blocked but then opened after more dye went through. The new OB sat down and went over everything the next day in the office, and we have an appointment with RE next Wednesday. From what she's telling me, we have unexplained infertility and she's optimistic for us but wants us to have treatments and plans ordered by the RE.

So anyway, I definitely don't have any kind of knowledge to add here, because this is all so new to me and I am a bit overwhelmed but trying to stay very optimistic. I have been benefiting from reading everyone's posts and I am very appreciative for that! Thanks for reading this and I look forward to chatting with you all!

Welcome, sorry you have to be here. I'm a newbie to the 3T board too. I also have the unexplained diagnosis. I knowhow frustrating not knowing can be. T&P to you!

Welcome! I'm so sorry for your losses and that you have to be here. I went to my OB after 9 months of TTC (I'm over 35), and he also dismissed my concerns. He basically stopped just short of saying "just relax", but he did refer me to an RE. On my way out, he told me to keep trying and that I'd probably be KU by the time my first RE appointment came around - that was in April! I'm glad that you found another OB to take your concerns seriously and that you'll be working with an RE soon. I hope your stay here is short!

Thank you all for the welcomes and good wishes. Now, if only I could figure out how to make a signature? Is that how you list your cycles as they happen? Hard to believe that I'm so bad at technology!

Welcome! I'm sorry for your prior losses. Hopefully your stay here won't be long.

To update your signature, go to "My Account" in the top right corner of the page, then choose "Change My Avatar" (to the right of the big Connect with Facebook button), and then scroll down to the bottom of the page to the "My Forums Signature." Type your info as normal but add <br> at the end of each line to create a line break. The system has been wonky and taking forever to load signatures, but I received some advice the other day that made it work. Basically open another window that has one of your old posts. Then keep hitting "Save" on the signature page and keep refreshing the post page until you see the signature appear. It took me 15 or so times for it to work, but eventually it did!
