So last night we fed my son like we always do, veggie and fruit purees, sippy cup with water, and since he is off his schedule due to the holidays he was due for a small bottle of formula.
Well he absolutely refused to take the bottle from ME. He fussed and cried and arched his back and just would not sit still. So I handed DS off to DH and went to the back of the house for a moment and when I came back DS was taking the bottle from DH.
Then he did the same thing to me this morning except I didn't have DH as he had already left for work, so I took him in the back of the house to get him dressed for the day and so that I could get dressed (he is a happy spitter, so I usually need to feed him before I get dressed or I end up having to change clothes). when we cam back to the living room I tried feeding him again, and it was difficult, but I was able to get him to take his bottle, and the sitter told me he did this yesterday to her too (DH picked DS up, and has a problem relaying daily information, but that is another problem for another day).
Anyone else know why this is happening, usually DS can't wait for his bottle and gulps it down.
Re: 6.5 month old refusing bottles...uggg!
When my LO was 7 months she did this too (shes 8month now and still does it). I was worried because she wasnt getting enough milk (per the guidelines the pedi gave me). I talked with pedi and she said to start yogurt and mix in breastmilk or formula into her food. I think what was happening was she was getting filled up with food so she wasnt interested in milk. You can try to do the bottle first when he is really hungry and follow up with the baby food. My LO is just more interested in food than milk.
