We brought DD home from the NICU after 33 day stay! It has been quite a year. Looking back, I have doubted whether or not she was ready to come home as she has struggled with eating issues and we ended up having to get a g-tube, but she is such an amazing gift. Although this year has been plagued with watching the scale and counting and celebrating every ounce, I have cherished every minute with her.

For those of you still on the NICU roller coaster, it gets better. Cherish your sleep now and don't worry if you sleep through a pumping session. It will be okay. If anyone has any g-tube questions, I am happy to help out. I really doubted it and am so glad we got it.

what a great post!  Happy Home-iversary!  Im so happy to hear she is doing so well.

I consulted with a fantastic SLP/feeding therapist out of Stamford when we were having lots of feeding issues.  You probably know of her but let me know if you want more info.
