First Period PP

Hi ladies, happy new year!

I know I need to check in with some previous threads, but I had a quick question, which I guess might be TMI - but if I can't share and ask in here, then where can I?

Anyways, my question is, what was your first PP period like?

So far, which what I assume is my period, I spent a few days with more of a brownish-red discharge, and only an hour worth of spotting.  Otherwise, it's only been there, when I've wiped after going pee (so yeah, super light).  Yesterday, I had one toilet paper that had actual red blood on it, and now, it's dwindling down again.  So um yeah - normal?  I hope so!  I'm assuming it's all funky/weird/different from giving birth, hormones, first period in almost a year, and all that . . .

But any reassurance/insight you guys could give would be appreciated! :]

Mine was a smidge heavier the first cycle or two...and then actually got lighter than prepreg.

Mine was also heavier than normal, but with worse cramps. My second was similar to prepreg.

I am on mobile so I don't know how long it has been for you but I got my first AF at 13.5 months PP.

I remember reading somewhere that the earlier PP you get AF, the wonkier she tends to be.

Really light spotting with horrendous cramps.  Granted, I was 7.5w PP and BFing, so it could have been weird because of those things.  I'd only stopped PP bleeding 2 weeks before.  The next one was insanely intense cramps and a blood bath.  They've leveled out since then, but are unquestionably heavier, longer and with worse cramps than before DS.  They didn't change much once I weaned, either.  I think they're usually supposed to be better than they were pre-pregnancy.  GL honey.  AF sucks.

Mine has been lighter and I don't spot at all before my period now.  Like at all.  I used to spot at least up to a week before (I am sure I have a short LP issue but got knocked up before we could test) and now I don't spot at all.  Every month I'm scared I'm pregnant again haha.

I got mine at 10 weeks pp, while still BF/pumping, and it was a four day blood bath. I bled more than I did with any of my m/c.

I just started a nice red flow today - hopefully won't be a blood bath! - and so I guess those few days of random discharge was a build up to the real deal, like prep-work since my cervix is probably rusty from a lack of periods for a year ;P
