Re: Pregnant Mommies Check In
We had our A/S two weeks ago. Still team green! They didn't even try to look down there which was awesome. Bad news is LO was not exactly measuring no track so they want to do a growth u/s every month to check growth/development.
I feel like they are just trying to make money by doing a lot of u/s and that baby measuring a few days behind is NBD but I think each u/s he/she keeps getting further and further behind the curve so I guess we'll see. It's just more temptation or chances for a tech to slip up and tell us the sex!
DS1 -6/25/11
DS2 -3/23/13
Missed MC D&C 8/26/14
DD - 8/26/15
LO#4 due 5/30/17
We had our a/s on the Thursday before Christmas. Some of you may have seen my post on FB. The tech was pretty quiet and made me worry that something might be wrong. At this point, I still haven't heard from the Drs Office, so I assume that no news is good news. So, even though it was a bit of worrisome u/s, we found out we are having GIRL! I'm so happy for DD to have a sister!
By the way, happy New Year! After a quick dinner out with DH and DD, she is tucked in bed and I'm in my PJs... the wild & crazy NYE of a pregnant mom!
T&P that everything goes well and you get good news!
Tomorrow I will be 33 weeks; only 7 more to go! I am definitely feeling ready to have a baby in arms. Being pregnant with #2 is so much different than with #1. I have been measuring ahead (both in fundal measurements and with LO's size), so it looks like he might be a big boy. I have so much to do in these last 7 weeks- finish the nursery, make sub plans for my long term sub at school, get the house ready, buy last minute items- that while I am ready for DS's entrance, I am SO not ready (plus, I want him to cook for as long as possible!).
I have had HORRIBLE congestion and a cough for 4 weeks. It's annoying, but according to my PCP it's just congestion. That has been super fun.
Pretty much over it. 39 weeks and this is the longest week ever. Last week I was just 1 cm dilated and 50 percent effaced. Had my membranes stripped - it did nothing, obviously. Hoping baby comes tomorrow or Thursday, before my little sister flies back across the country back to college.
Come on baby boy!
Praying for you and your baby. My friend's daughter had Trisomy 18. If you end up with a confirmation and want me to send you her blog please let me know.
I would be very interested in her blog, would you mind posting it?
Just a warning, it is sad, not the miracle outcome we hoped and prayed for. I do think the couple dealt with their situation as well as anyone in this situation can. My heart aches for you add you face this prospect. They welcomed their rainbow baby a year after losing Ruby. Both she and a friend in her church had trisomy 18 babies in the same year so she had walked through this with the friend prior to her own pregnancy. Her site is rare ruby jean dot Blogspot
Thank you.
You're welcome. My heart goes out to you. Please keep us posted.
