I think Soren is cute for a boy or girl. If you love it, go with it. Everyone says Mason is getting to popular but i havnt heard it in my area at all and i love the name so if its a boy im using that.
Don't listen to anyone. Name your baby what you want. If you love it, do it. You might regret it if you listen to other people and don't do it. I picked out my daughter's name and took my husband's input into consideration. It is our baby after all and no one else's. congratulations!
Sauren looks like Sauron, the Great Eye of Evil from Lord of the Rings. I would use a real boy's name on a girl before I would make up a girls name.
LOL This is EXACTLY the first thought that popped into my head. Don't do it. Find an actual girl's name.
Unless you spell it Sauryn. Then it's totally cool.
ETA: Oh, lordy, I hadn't read through all the responses when I posted this. Someone actually suggested spelling it with a y....and then defended it repeatedly....gah.

This kid may not have a lot of bowel, but he has plenty of guts! DS born at 34 weeks with (surprise!) gastroschisis turned short bowel syndrome. 131 days in the NICU, 7 trips to the OR, G-button, daily TPN....
We are impatiently awaiting the day we can say goodbye to his girlfriend Ivy for good.
Oh and FWIW, my middle name doesn't appear on any baby names website: it's way too ethnic to even be featured, but it's a real name, from a real country, nonetheless. AND it starts with a Y! How dare my parents!

I'm not sure what this means....lots of baby name sites have lots of ethnic names. And I don't think anybody has a problem with names that start with Y - it's the names where people randomly substitute "y"s willy-nilly for any other vowel that are attacked on here.
Now I'm curious what your MN is!

Hahaha I was mostly just poking fun at some posters! I've seen arabic forms of it some places, but never the good old indigenous/spanish form. And sorry, I like it to be kept under wraps, 'cause it's so beautiful!
No seriously, we're less than five people in Canada with that name... all from the same family! That's just how it is...

How about Sorena? Or even better, Serena?
