Update...T minus 9 days

Update...
Nora took a 2oz bottle last night. Today I worked the nuk for awhile and just now she took a 4 oz bottle from my mom. She was freaking out tonight to start but DH went over and talked to her and calmed her down. She then took it like a champ. maybe she wont get kicked out of DC!

I have 9 days left to get N to take a bottle. One side of me is freaking out that DC is going to call and make me pick her up if she refuses the bottle. The asst director kept telling me.. She HAS to take a bottle by the time she is enrolled. The other side says DC will figure it out and N will take the bottle if she gets hungry enough.

My mom is watching N tonight while we go out to eat, so fx she has luck with the bottle tonight!

A friend of a friends kid refused a bottle and refused to eat while away from her mother...kid is completely fine just has amazing willpower!!

DS1 refused! We didn't try real hard as I was mostly a SAHM, but the two days when I did work, DH had to bring him to me to be fed. Hopefully, she'll get the hang of it quickly.

I'm in the same situation but my step mom is watching M while I'm at work. She's keeps say "your going to have one crabby baby when you get home if she doesn't start taking a bottle"....great

I too was having a problem with DS taking a bottle.  Every time I left the house he refused to eat.  My DH had a holiday party coming up, which I had my mind set on attending, so I stepped up my efforts.  At first I had him practice with a pacifier, which I don't normally give him, that took some work.  Then after he accepted that, I had my friend try giving him a bottle using a different nipple.  He drank an ounce and then refused that nipple.  I finally tried an enfamil nipple I got as a sample, and it worked!  It was one of those small brown nipples.  I practiced everyday with this nipple,  and a week later when we went to the party, DS had no problem.  Good luck, hope everything works out for you!

Also to add on, we tried at least four or five nipples before we found the one that worked.  I held DS upright, put some breast milk on the bottle' s nipple, and touched the roof of his mouth.  That's when he finally began sucking.  Again, wishing you the best!

Thanks. Nora took an ounce tonight from my mom. So Im happy. My mom is going to try again tomorrow. She leaves Monday morning but Dh is home for the week so wevwill keep trying.

DC didnt say what will happen. I dont want to resort to having to go feed her but I have a flexible job so I can if absolutely necessary.
