April 2013 Moms

What do you have?

So TB is slow today and I am bored. I mentioned in a reply yesterday I keep having nesting thoughts but I have no motivation to do anything and I think it's because I am the type of person who gets things done when I have EVERYTHING and well, obviously, I don't have everything.

What do you have for baby already?

I have the crib, bedding, skirt, bumper, changing table, a cube shelf, and a ton of clothes. I have also made her name in wooden letters and have started making the mobile.

Re: What do you have?

  • All I have is the furniture and a few random pieces of clothing lol

  • I have an empty room with a changing table in a box.  A crib on order.  A diaper bag (thanks coach outlet) and one baby outfit.

    Thats it.

I feel so behind but don't really know where to start.

  • I have pretty much nothing. Three onesies, a pair of footie pajamas, and a sleeper. Oh, and some fuzzy booties. That's about it! And my parents got us a rolling drawer thingie and I've allocated it for baby stuff.

I'm not stressing out. We won't have a nursery when baby comes, so we will most likely just have a pack n play in my room. No need for extra furniture or to decorate. Makes my life easier in that regard even though life in general isn't easy right now. lol.

    OMG too many tickers...

  • We are lucky to have all the things from Bella! Now I just need to get started on sortung clothes to see what I'll be able to use with Eliza, conisdering Bella was born at the end of August and Eliza will be end of March/early April.

We did decide to get new bedding, which I need to decide on. but all the major things (stroller, carseat, etc.) we have already.

  • We have one of those baby bathtubs someone gave us for Christmas, and that's it, lol. In my defense, we are moving in a month and I just don't see the point in having extra stuff to move.
  • Nursery is done (decor, bedding, glider w/ ottoman, dresser, changer, crib), except for a few final touches (having blinds installed throughout the house on Tuesday, and I still want to do a decal border).

I bought a really nice diaper bag on Black Friday.

    Registry is done.

    Shower planning is underway.

We are registered for childbirth prep classes in February.

I'm feeling pretty well organized and it feels good.

  • We have pretty much everything.  Just need a few last small things and one or two big things, like the car seat and a rock-n-play.
One of my best friends ("B") offered to be our surrogate, and we're now expecting a baby in April 2013 after two cycles of natural IUI at the Jones Institute. For medical reasons, we are not biologically related to our unborn child. Yes, I guess that makes this a "planned adoption."

  • I have exactly everything I used with Ava. I haven't bought anything yet. Not that I think I'll need much, but I should probably start picking up a few little things like diapers, pumping bags, nipple shields (needed them last time) and Lansinoh.

  • The only thing we have is furniture bc it's currently DDs. Lol. I also have boxes and boxes of DDs old clothes that are in pretty good condition. Luckily we really don't need much this time around. January is going to be extremely busy for me but as soon as Feb hits ill be in full on baby mode.

Hey, pretty girl, it feels so right,
Just like it's meant to be
All wrapped up in my arms so tight
Hey, pretty girl, it feels so right
Life's a long and winding ride
Better have the right one by your side
And happiness don't drag its feet
Time moves faster than you think
  • A painted room, a rocking horse, 6 onsies, a onesie dress with a cardigan, 2 pairs of slippers, 2 piglet toys... one a pig rattle, one Piglet from Winnie the Pooh, a giant stuffed T Rex, a towel, a new blanket, a 70 year old heirloom blanket, a pair of mittens, a pair of footie pajamas, and a diaper bag on the way. Oh, and a box of nursing pads.

To summarize: odds and ends. Mostly toys and clothes, but no furniture or anything big yet.

  • We have a crib and glider. That is pretty much the extent of furniture at this point. My goal is to get the room cleared out this weekend. It's currently being used for storage. Once that is done, I'm hoping we find the motivation to paint the room.. we'll see! April is coming up so quickly and with entering into the 3rd tri, I'm getting nervous that all of my energy is going to disappear so I feel like I need to get on move on the nursery set-up asap! I can't believe how quickly time is passing. We're in the home stretch, ladies!

Same here. Nothing other than a couple outfits, socks, a grocery cart cover thingie, and some hats. We are moving in July, so we aren't putting a nursery together until we move, so we will just use the pack and play or bassinet until we move out.
For with God, all things are possible!!

  • I bought nipple replacements for DSs bottles. Thats it.

I decided last night that DS is going to give up his crib. So I'm looking at toddler beds on Craigslist. Found one for 30 bucks with a mattress. If it's still there, it's MINE!

After that, DSs stuff is still plenty good for Mini. So we don't need anything else.
  • We have all the nursery furniture (and have it assembled), bedding has been ordered, and a friend gave us a TON of clothes.  Those are washed and sorted by size.  Once the bedding gets here we can decide on paint color (want it to match).  I feel like we are behind...which is something that I never am but hubby said we should just wait until after baby showers to buy anything else.

  • We have the bumper, crib, dresser, nursery painted, rocker, a few decorations for nursery, curtains in nursery installed, just bought cieling fan, and like 15 clothing items I couldn't resist. We also have the playtime tummy time mat jungle gym thing, some baby shoes, baby mittens so he won't scratch himself, a couple books, and the baby bouncer seat. I also bought some odd ball little items like the outlet covers for baby proofing, desatin cream, and baby lotion. AND registry finally DONE. I messed with it forever, and finally am satisfied with it.

I am register for all the classes I want to take, so that is knocked out as well. I am hoping for smooth sailing from here forward.

Three more months to go and things are slowly coming together!

I have exactly 3 outfits (all size 6 months), 1 pack of diapers (also too big for newborn),  and a "nursery" full of my crap.

  • I have most everything from DS, but he's still in his crib :) We need to get him his big boy bed and bedding, then move the crib into our room and move a whole bunch of other stuff around.  I need to go through the baby clothes to see what can be reused for DD and get some storage bins to try to make due without a new dresser for DD until we can sell our house and rent a 3 bedroom closer to work and daycare.

Basically, I haven't done anything for this LO yet.

  • I have everything for one baby thanks to DS, but we are having twin girls, so I need to double everything.  We did find a secondhand crib that needs refinishing and is waiting in our garage,so at least they each have a place to sleep.  I need to buy two new crib mattresses though, since DS will use his current mattress in his new toddler bed soon.  The major stuff I still have to get is a second infant seat and a DSNG.  Other than that, my son's new room is where I need to focus on most before the girls come (paint, decor, moving furntiture out and in).  I have plenty of gender neutral newborn stuff from DS to be getting started with at least.  I'm sure we'll get tons of clothes as the time gets closer.

TTC since May 2006. After 3 failed Clomid cycles, 2 failed Injectibles/IUIs, 2 failed IVFs and 1 failed FET, we moved on to adoption!

Last ditch FET resulted in BFP, and identical twin girls!

  • I have a few things but still need a lot. I have the crib still in the box, the crib mobile, baby swing, one crib sheet and blanket, a few pieces of clothing, a couple plush toys, wall decals, and a couple pacifiers I've gotten for free. I'm waiting until the baby shower to see what else I need to get. Plus, we might be moving shortly after the baby is born, and we won't know until probably February, so I'm not setting up the nursery until we know for sure. We're getting a cradle so the baby can sleep in there prior to our move if we do end up moving.

  • Eerrrrr......a highchair lol, a bathtub, a playpen (oh "playard"), some clothes, binkies, and bibs. Oh and a lamp haha, a really awesome lamp I've been wanting from hobby lobby that I finally caught on the 50% off sale today. That is it. Supposed to be ordering the crib the first week of January and we are finishing painting in a few days.

  • I'm having my 4th girl so no furniture buying needed. I need most everything else since I got rid of most stuff a couple years ago.
  • I've got a crib put together, a bunch of random hand me down (awesome) clothes (0-18 mos), a changing table/dresser, a car seat, a bathtub, a rocker, and a side table with baskets for late night nursing/storage

But no crib mattress... no sheets... no bumpers... nothing else.

    We are painting tomorrow.

I'm due in 3 months from tomorrow. So.... I'm feeling pretty behind
