Moving with an 8 month old

Has anyone moved homes with an infant? My family is moving in the beginning of February and I am wondering how it will effect my then 8 month old. I was also wondering if there was anything that I can do to make the process smoother for her. Any advise is appreciated!

Just set aside fav blankets, toys, etc.  we are getting ready for a big move in feb too

We just did it with out 7-month-old.  It was no big deal, really.  Although we did have my mom to take care of her while we dealt with other stuff.  As long as she's with me, she doesn't seem to care where she is.

At that age the only problem babyproofing a new house and keeping an eye on them with the packing material etc. They have no concept at all.

We just moved and my 2 year old even took it in stride because even she is a bit young to fully grasp what is going on.

Thanks for the advise. I think I will make sure to have someone watch my dd while we do all the moving.
