Age 4.5. She went 3 days/3 hrs for 5 months before starting kindergarten. Although she went for a relatively short period of time, I had done a lot of work with her at home and feel she was well prepared for school. I'm a SAHM, so no daycare.

Tim started shortly after his 3rd birthday in September /October
He goes 2 a week for 4 hours
I love the price and flexibility. I don't have to commit to any 2 set days. We also only pay on the days he goes if he's sick or they close for a holiday etc we don't have to pay.

3 years old (she was 2 months shy of 4th birthday). She goes full time, 5 days a week. She's been in childcare full time since she was 8 weeks old, so she doesn't know any other way. She'll repeat Pre-K next year due to her Oct bday, but she'll definitely be ready for Kindergarten!
Just a few preschool questions:1. What age did LO start:2. nbsp;How many days a week, hours a day?3. nbsp;If you work fulltime how did you work that out with daycare, etc.4. nbsp;Any other information you would like to share :nbsp;
DS started 2 months before he turned 3.
He goes 2 days per week for 2.5 hours in the morning.
I'm a sahm but dh normally does drop off pick up. Drops off on his way to work and picks up on his way home for lunch. If he's busy then I do it.
Ds also started shortly after his 3rd birthday in Sept.. He goes 2x a week for 4 hours each day at a co-op preschool @ my church. I teach and assist 1x each month.

3. If you work full-time how did you work that out with daycare, etc. He goes to before & after care at the daycare. The daycare drops him off & picks him up from school.
4. Any other information you would like to share :-) It was a really hard tranistion for him.
DS was just about 3.5. He went 2x a week for 2.5 hours a day. This year he goes 5x a week for 2.5 hours a day.
DD will start preschool this upcoming fall at 2y10m. She will go 2x a week for3 hours. Her 4 and 5 year old years will be at DS's preschool and will be 3 and then 5 days a week. She won't start kindergarten until she is almost 6.
1. What age did LO start: He has a June birthday and started a 2 day a week summer peschool camp and then in the fall went to a 2 day a week preschool 3's program. Now at age 4 he is in a 3 day a week preschool program.
2. How many days a week, hours a day? 3's program was 9-12 2 days a week, Preschool at age 4 is 3 day's a week from 9-12
3. If you work full-time how did you work that out with daycare, etc. SAHM
4. Any other information you would like to share :-)
1. What age did LO start: My boys started last January, two weeks after they turned 3 (so yes, halfway through the school year).
2. How many days a week, hours a day? Last year since they were in the 2's class (since they were 2 in September when the cutoff was) it was 2 mornings a week for 3 hrs. This year in the 3's class it's 3 mornings/wk for 3 hrs. The 4's class next year will be 5d/wk for 3 hrs. For the 3's and 4's you can also add on Lunch Bunch for an extra hour each day for an additional fee.
3. If you work full-time how did you work that out with daycare, etc. N/A
DS goes to public pre-k (at my school), 5 days a week from 7:40-3:30. He is the youngest in his class, I teach school there so no daycare issues. He was 4 years old and 5 days when he started.
DS started pre~k at age 3. He will be in kindergarden next yr. He goes 4 days a week for 3 hrs, 4 including the bus ride. I work nights so I'm home to get him off the bus. Or on days DH is off work he gets him off the bus.

Ds1 3yrs 7 mos . ds2 3yrs 4 mos . Ds3 has not started yet and he turned 3 in september he is planning to start at almost 4 yrs old.
As far as hours, my oldest started 1st year 2 mornings a week, 2nd year 3 mornings a week at a church preschool.
My middle son went to public town preschool for a speech delay, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year 4 days a week 2 and a half hours. My youngest will be going to this one too for 2 years.
DS started at 4y5m. He went 3days/week for 2.5 hours. We moved in March and did not find a new school in our new state so he only went for 7 months before starting K. We did a lot at home though and he has done really well in K this year.
DD started at 3y11m...she meets the K cut-off in our state by 4 days. She goes 3days/week for 3 hours. We have not decided if she will go to pre-k5 or Kindergarten next year but are leaning towards K.
1. DD started at 3 years old. Her bday is 8/14 with a 9/1 cutoff for prek.
2. 5 days a week full time. She had been going to daycare full time before this, so no big transition as far as time.
3. The school day is 8am-2:50pm, but you can drop off at 7:45am (which we do since we both work ft). DD goes to after school care at the school - its open til 6:15pm. They also offer before school care starting at 7am if you need to drop off early.
TTC #1 since 6/08. Cycle #6 - BFP 12/22/08, EDD 9/3/09, DD 8/14/09 at 37w1d
4yr 4mo - 4 days 2.5hrs a day -- I am a SAHM and she was more than prepared for starting school- I just didn't see them need of doing more than one year of pre school for our situation.
My twins started at 3 and went 2 mornings a week from 9-12. This year they are in VPK (voluntary pre-kindergarten) which is a free program for all children in our state to prepare for kindergarten. They now go 5 mornings a week from 9-12. Starting them at 3 was more for getting them some away from Mommy time and about being able to interact with kids their own age. It also helped them to learn to follow directions from someone other than me (teachers). It was a great experience for them and I am so happy I did it.
It also made this year start of VPK so much easier. Most the kids were crying and screaming because they didn't want to leave their mothers. My girls were running into the class and putting away their stuff in their cubbies and sitting down asking what they could do as a craft. They were just very comfortable because they had that year of 3 year old preschool.

DH drops them off on the long days (I work overnights so I am not home) and I pick them up when I wake up from my nap.
4. Any other information you would like to share :-) My kids' school is a Spanish Immersion pre-school and it is amazing how much Spanish they both know (I don't speak any Spanish at all).
1. 3 years old. our preschool won't take kids before 3 years old (not a daycare)
2. she will go 2x a week from 10-1
3. I am a SAHM
4. I had done a lot of research and prep work. Preschool out here is very expensive and often synonymous with full or half day daycare so many interviews and wait-lists I finally her in to a great school. DS will start when he is 3 too but for now we just do a mommy and me gymboree class.
