Hi all.
Just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. I'm 38 and this is the first go-round. Never tried to get preggo and just found out the other day that we got it on the first try. To be honest, I thought it was going to either take years, or I was going to need some help from my doctor. I'm very excited, shocked, and quite nervous. My last pap a year ago showed some abnormal cells and I never followed up, so you can imagine where my head is at.
Anyway... I am saying my prayers for a healthy, uneventful pregnancy, and am looking forward to getting some support here since I've not shared the news with anyone--first appt with doc is on Monday.
Nice to meet you all! And Happy New Year!
Re: Intro!
I had my first at 38
Congrats and nice to meet you as well! You should follow up on your abnormal pap. Most doctors will make you do a pap if you're pregnant and due for it anyways. Although I understand there isn't much they can do when you're pregnant if it's abnormal...I know someone who had that happen during pregnancy, and she turned out to have precancerous cells. They had to wait until after the baby came to do anything about it.
