Question for a friend

in Babies on the Brain

My friend was wondering what OTC pain reliever is safe to take during pregnancy and after looking it up in my WTEWE book it says that unless you really need it, to refrain. especially in first tri. My brain is a bit foggy (mommy brain) but I don't recall ever taking any OTC medicines while pregnant. Advice appreciated. 

 

PS) My friend does not know for sure if she is pregnant but she is being cautious in case she is.

    I'm in the category of "drink til it's pink".  If she's not pregnant enough to know that she's pregnant, a tylenol isn't going to hurt her.

    He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be.  He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.

    Tylenol is safe during pregnancy. Advil is not recommended.

    has she not taken a pregnancy test? if it was negative, she's not pregnant and can take whatever she wants.
