Normally I get DD ready in the morning for DayCare but yesterday I had to be at work early so left DH in charge.
When I picked up DD, she was wearing a brown pyjama shirt, clashing pants and hot pink socks and no shoes (he brought her boots only). Her hair had about 5 clips in it all strewn about (DD has lots of hair than seems to grow forward so it really needs to be styled out of her face but DH can't seem to work the small elastics I normally use). The DayCare providers and I had a good laugh.

Re: Daddies and their daughters....
Let me start by directing you to my siggy. DH is a fabulous daddy and does an amazing job as a SAH.
But let me tell ya, he is used to dressing a boy I think which is a different thing all together from a girl
DS's clothes pretty much match easily and no hair issues involved. Poor DD. The "best" outfit of all was brown flower pants with a pink onsie (thankfully there was pink in the flowers), striped pink and purple socks and black and white adidas sneakers. No bow in her wild hair (her hair also grows forward and needs to be pushed back with a barrete or tiny elastic). Top it off with her fall jacket which is polka dot pink/gray. I laughed so hard when I got home from work that day.

DH and I were in a musical when DD was about 4-6months old. We would sometimes leave her with friends for practice and sometimes tote her with us. She was always really good at musical practice and loved watching everything going on around her. I had to be there early once so we drove separately and DH brought DD. When they arrived I was on a break so I went to her carseat to pick her up and she didn't have any pants on...she wasn't just in a onesie either, it was just a little baby t-shirt and a diaper and her hair bow lol. "She's a baby, she doesn't always need pants" he said LOL Thankfully I had an extra outfit in the diaper bag :P
Really though, DH is awesome. He's such a good dad and is totally on top of caring for our daughter. I still think of this story and giggle.
When we were visiting my parents for Thanksgiving my dad went to get Chloe up in the morning. She came down wearing her brown skirt over her brown pants and topped with her brown shirt, black socks...her hair was all over the place...
He said that they were all brown so he thought they went together, although he wasn't sure which socks because there were no brown ones...so he went with black.
Thankfully my hubs is really good about dressing our daughter, in fact he usually has an opinion on her outfits for special occasions (although he won't touch her hair...men).
Without fail, DH will just pick a white onesie when dressing DD...I think he just is afraid of clashing, but doesn't get that the white ones are for under things! He also has a hard time figuring out which socks have grippies and which require shoes.
But by far the funniest is one time when I went to change her after he'd done the last diaper change and her diaper was SO low, she had plumber's crack. I was like "who put this diaper on you!" and he heard me through the monitor and came in to see what he did wrong, then said "it's bikini style. she likes it that way. she told me".
hah.
Oh, everything from mismatched outfits (dressy tunic with beat up, ratty corduroy pants) to not feeding her at appropriate intervals (and wondering why she's so cranky) to waiting too long to change a diaper- it has all happened. But he is learning as he goes, and he is an awesome Dad.

My husband once told me "the colors match, patterns don't matter"
as DD was wearing flowered pants and a striped top. The colors also didn't match.
For the first few months, most things he put on were backwards. My favorite was when DD was a week old and had a little dress on with ruffled tights. When I changed her clothes, all the ruffles were in the front. He is a great dad and he gets most things on properly by now.
