It's Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale's oldest son. Only time I have heard it. Strongly dislike it. Trying way too hard and any name with King in it sounds pretentious to me.
Don't like it at all. Sorry. I think any name ending in "ton" tends to sound pretentious and adding "King" at the beginning really takes it over the top.
Thanks for the input. It's the only boy name that we agreed on but I couldn't put my finger on why I couldn't say yes to it. I love the name but it does feel like we're trying too hard...which we are becauseeeeeee it's effing hard to find a name lol
LOVE IT! I would be naming my child that if my DH didn't have a cousin named that... Remember about 95% of the names I've read on here are all the same.. And very old, overused names. Kingston is different... If you love it, go for it! You two are the only ones who need to love it
It's a town near us with a weekly meth lab bust. Please don't.

No i get that people are saying the name sounds like I'm trying too hard..my response was meant specifically for the one that said "I" was trying to hard to get that cool name. Not sure why her comment annoyed me and the others didn't but it did lol also I hit reply to her comment but I guess it just came up as a general comment.
Not too sure on Kingston. What about something like Greyson or Jackson instead? Easton? Just trying to brainstorm semi-similar names that have a nicer ring to them! Good luck on your choosing, it is a difficult choice to make!

I think of the Kingston Trio.
As a name, I'm on the fence. I don't like 'king' in a name, but I really like the idea of Kingston University.
