Night wakings

Anyone have any insight as to why some nights my ds will sleep through the night. And other nights he is up numerous times? He isn't teething right now and not sick. He has been sitting and crawling for a while now. I just don't really know how to help him.

Is he maybe cold?  Does he eat less those days?
