WTF mom!?

My mom just pulled the "I couldn't imagine not raising my child" crap on me. I am never discussing daycare again with her.

My mom was a stay at home mom and just doesn't get that my income is almost three quarters of our total income in a HCOL area. While I would love to stay home with DS... Not possible without being evicted and going without food.

I civilly put her in her place but I am furious right now. I need to go break some dishes or something to blow of steam

Sorry she made you angry! Maybe she didn't mean to come off like she did. If I were you, I would try to talk with her about it when you cool off. I've found that the few times my mom has made me mad, I was taking things she said in a way she didn't intend me to.

I'm going to be working 3 days a week ( i work 12 hour shifts) and my inlaws keep saying things like "what if they don't pick her up when she cries" or "what if they don't feed her"..and say things about how they made it work on one income. I went to college for 4 years to get this job and I feel like it would be a total waste to just quit...plus we need the money to pay off the loans from said college education..I just feel like parents should be supportive and not make you worry more or feel inadequate because you're doing whats best for your family...I understand how you feel:(
