PDD-NOS and violence - toddler

I haven't been around much but dealing with DS and all the testing (and new dx of PDD-NOS) has totally consumed me.

Anyway... DS was diagnosed about 1 month ago.  He's been VERY violent for about 6 months.. but it seems its getting worse by the week.  Before his diagnosis... we were told by his OT to praise the good, ignore the bad.  We did to the best of our abilities but sometimes it was just so bad we had to take him away from the situation and do time out/calm down time in his room or what not.

Once he got the DX.. we've been working with a new team who specializes in ASD specifically and his behavior is just getting worse. Myself and DD are just covered daily in bruises, scratches and cuts.  My DD cringes whenever she sees DS out of sheer horror and fear. We've discussed it at every visit (4-5x a week) and all I keep getting is "we'll work on it" or "we need to get a baseline" or "it'll get better, don't worry"

I certainly don't expect that it'll get better overnight but I am at my wits end.  I can't leave my house with him... and I am just exhausted, and scared to death. What do you do in the interm?  I have to keep him and DD separated every minute of the day.. I fear for her safety and her life at this point :(

Any advice or words of encouragement would be fabulous.  I plan on talking with his coordinator tomorrow and being very firm about needing a quicker, more concrete plan of action.
