Hate the waiting game

So it should be around my ovulation time this month, which means I'm waiting to take a HPT in about two weeks. Sad thing is, that falls after Christmas, so I can't give my mom a Christmas gift I wanted to give her if I got a bfp. I know that seems kinda crazy, since it would be so early and we've had two miscarriages, but my mom will be behind us through the happy and sad times. So I thought it would be a good gift to add to the other things we're doing for her. Plus, I wouldn't see her again until mid-May. So should I try to test like the morning of?

    It depends on how upset you'll be if it is negative.  If it is going to ruin the rest of your day I would just wait.

    I can't wait for the "im getting a divorce" post in 5 years or so because your husbands were fed up with your disgusting chair asses from playing on the knot all day and getting fired 4-5 times for not doing any work. you guys are all winners!! ~ Laur929

    It'll be a gift if it's Christmas morning or the next day or over the phone in a month.  The odds that you would get a BFP Christmas morning are so small, I wouldn't test because of the funk it'd put you in the rest of the day.

    He's the single greatest thing I've done in my life and reminds me daily of how fun (and funny) life can be.  He's turned out pretty swell for having such a heartless and evil mother.

    I would wait as well. The odds of getting a BFP that early are small.  Maybe you can come up with a creative way to tell her if it's after Christmas. I'm pondering a flower arrangement or something like that.
