Update- really bad baby reflux

We had our apt with the GI dr today. He was really nice and very sweet to Mila. She is stopping the Zantac and starting previcid. They did blood work. ( that was heart breaking) I should hear back on the blood work on Monday but he wants to do an upper GI scope and biopsy. It is hard news to hear. She will be under anesthesia but only for a short while. We go on Jan 4 for the procedure. Hope all the other little ones with reflux issues I talked to are getting better.

Best of luck with the scope, I am sure it will be hard for you and her. My daughter was on prevacid and it changed our life. The Zantac did nothing. We were on 15 mg after the half dose did not work as well(prevacid that is). Hope everything gets better soon. I know how frustrating and draining reflux can be.

Good luck.  I didn't see your earlier post, but my DD is going to have an EGD and flexible sigmoidoscopy.  She has been on zantac and prevacid since 6 weeks.  I tried an elimination diet, then Nutramigen, and now Neocate.  She still has mucusy diarrhea after 6 weeks on Neocate.  She constantly fusses and pulls off the bottle.  She can barely eat 3 ounces at 6 months old.  I hate reflux!!!!

I tried eliminating dairy too and we ended up on nutramigen. So sad to see babies in pain. It's getting hard to get her to eat as well but so far no weight loss.
