I like Leo. Not a fan of Leonardo. Maybe Leonard. I tend to prefer names that have a more "formal" version, but I also know Leo also is a legit standalone name. Would you just go with Leo, or would you make it short for something, and if so, am I missing any others besides the ones mentioned above?

Leonidas (greek, king of sparta) -- I know a little Leo with Greek ancestry, this is his full name.
I would just use Leo.
But then again I named my kid Abe, not Abraham, Abel, etc..
