IUI #3...also a fail :(

Well I knew there was a reason I was telling myself to stick it out one more day before testing. I was going to test this morning when I woke up but AF already beat me to it. Going in on Saturday to discuss with our RE what's in store for us next.

This is kind of off the topic but I noticed that AF this month doesn't look like her usually self, pink/red flow...today is only CD1 so I will see what happens in the next couple of days but it is a very dark brown. I'm not worried about it just curious. This may sound silly, but would it be from very, very old lining? Or is there anything else that would change the color of AF so drastically from one cycle to another?

 

TTC our first Navy baby! Me:27 DH:30, together since 8/2003, Married on 7/2006
9/26/10 stopped BCP and started TTC.
9/2011 referred to RE. All blood work normal and DH's SA=normal results
11/2011 HSG=both tubes clear
One natural (monitored) cycle of Clomid, 50mg 2/2012= BFN
Getting ready for first IUI, 3/2012 received orders to Japan! (postponed IUI)
5/2012 Moved to Japan, fought Tricare for months over referral (no fertility treatment on our military base) for Japanese RE out in town!
8/2012 Started seeing new RE
9/2012, post coital test= hostile cervical fluid, (finally) moving on with first IUI!
9/29/2012 IUI #1+trigger= BFN
10/27/2012 IUI #2+100mg Clomid CD5-9+trigger= BFN
11/28/2012 IUI #3+100mg Clomid CD5-9+trigger= BFN
12/28/2012 IUI#4+100mg Clomid CD5-9+trigger=BFN
2/1/2013 IUI#5+injectables+trigger=BFN
3/2013 IUI#6+injectables+trigger=???

    I'm sorry. I have always heard that brown meant it was old too, like you said. That has happened to me a couple times before right at the beginning of my period and I assumed it was old lining, then it went away so I didn't try to figure it out further. I wish I had a better explanation. Hang in there.

    Sorry about the BFN. 

    No real advice on AF, but mine were different after a few medicated cycles.  

    Me: 37, DH: 35 :: TCC since 2/11 SA: Perfect! CD3  HSG = Blocked Right Tube
    April- Femara 2.5mg + Trigger + IUI = BFN   May- Femara 5mg = CX - No Response on Left = BFN
    June- Femara 7.5mg + Trigger + IUI = BFN  August- Lap & Hysteroscopy = Blocked & Partially Blocked Tubes
    September- Femara 5mg = CX - No Response on Left = BFN  October- 100mg Clomid + Trigger + TI = BFN
    IVF # 1: Stims 11/30 ER 12/12/12! (10R, 10M, 8F, 2T, 6 F) :: Beta #1- 176  c/p @ 4w4d
    FET #1 February 26th :: Lost 4 to Thaw, Transferred 2 = BFFN
    IVF # 2 Stims 5/10 ER 5/21 (15R, 13M, 13F, 2T, 7F- 6d3 & 1d5) :: Beta # 1- 15 c/p @ 4w
    FET #2 Cancelled, Right Tube Developed a Hydro  8/28 Hydro & Scar Tissue Removed  Cleared for FET
    FET #2.2 Scheduled for September 20th
    2 Thawed, 2 Transferred! Beta #1- 96, Beta #2 906! :: EDD June 10th
    2015- 2 failed FET. We are done

    My AF has been changing every cycle I have been on the meds. Last cycle I had the darker red flow. My nurse told me it was OK.

    I am sorry your IUI failed.. def craptastic news! UGH GL

    Cycle #1: Clomid 100mg + Ovidrel = No Response, Canceled
    Cycle #2: Clomid 150mg + Ovidrel = No Response, Canceled
    Cycle #3: Clomid 150mg + Follistim + Ovidrel = No response, Canceled

    Cycle #4: Femara 7.5mg + Gonal-f + Ovidrel + IUI = BFP!!!!

    I'm so sorry for your BFN. Hopefully RE will be able to give you some good news. My flow has been different every other month. Some dark brown for 1-2 days and then the red flow and other months normal flow.
