Mama Groups in Seattle?

Is there any such thing created at this point?  I'd love to meet up with some Seattle ladies and broaden my parenting community.

This is my first baby and I'm feeling like I want more mama friends!

It's really hard to find! PEPS is fantastic, but you have to pay for it. I'm a member of Eastside New and Expecting moms on meetup.com, which is all moms who had babies in 2012, but it's closed until the new year and it's on the Eastside. You could create something for the Seattle area, though, that was similar. There was a lot of interest for ENEM! Good luck, it can be hard to find local groups of moms with similar-aged kids in this area :-/

  • Hi there,

I am going to have my first baby, a girl in March and I'd also like to meet moms and moms to be as I don't have any friends or family who have kids in the Seattle area. I live in Mill Creek but I don't have a problem driving to Seattle.  I thought about creating a post and seeing if people would like to get together?

  • There are several Groups on Meetup.com and also neighborhood Moms groups on Yahoo and Facebook. What area do you live in?
  • Also, the Evergreen Parent Baby Classes and First Weeks at Birth and Beyond are great ways to meet other parents. Don't forget childbirth classes and mom and baby yoga or storytime at the library.
  • I am having my first baby in April and would love to form an "informal" group. All my family lives in the East Coast. We live in Greenwood.
  • I currently live in Beacon Hill and am moving soon to Mountlake Terrace.  I'm up for meeting up with new moms.  I'm due in July and just want some other women to connect with.

I am planning to join the Parent Baby Classes at Evergreen after baby is born...any moms up for walking on the weekends?
