Hey all...
I mainly lurk on this board, however, I need some input.
I know my ticker is off...thanks phone bump...ha. My dd is now almost 4 months actual, 2.5 adjusted, and I am so grateful she is doing well.
I am making up some care packages for Chrismas for the nicu she graduated from and am drawing a blank on what to include.
So far, I have parking vouchers, local eatery/cafeteria gc, chapsticks and unscented lotions, and nice receiving blankets. It is in a very low income, high need area of my state. The nurses would send clothes with some of the kiddos who couldn't afford clothes that fit.
Any more ideas? What really made your stay easier? I just feel inclined to pay it forward, especially during this time of year.
Re: nicu care packages
I'm just glad I'm past the watching and waiting part of the nicu. I do much better when I get to do something about a need I see. The little ones have always been special to me...I work in a hospital...but even more so now that I had my own preemie. Our nicu was almost like a little club where everyone understood me.
