Whatever this "phase" is...

SFM: whatever this "phase" is...

It needs to end. Fast.

Momma needs just a wee bit of sleep. The first 2 nights, ds slept 11 straight hours plus his regular naps during the day. The next 2 nights he was up every 20 minutes until midnight, then he was up every 45 minutes until 2 am. [And got up at 7, like nothing happened.] Last night he went to bed at 7:30 and was up every 1.5 to 2 hours to eat. He was legitimately starving every time he got up to eat. And it took me half an hour each time to put him back down.

He's only 14 weeks, this can't possibly be the dreaded 4 month wakeful, right?

Re: Whatever this "phase" is...

  • Honestly, one of my babies just went through that this week. I heard it could happen anytime between 3 and 4 months old. Mine was waking up and looking for his paci every hour or so. They just turned 3 months old. All I can figure is that the milestones they are reaching is messing with their sleep. Plus they're eating more, less often.

I hope it gets better for you soon! Very soon. Sleepless nights make for hard days.

  • I'm right there with ya! Jack had a great night yesterday and last night he was back to his new sleeping for only and hour or two at a time shinnanigans! I also think he legitimately eats every time he wakes up. I hope it ends soon people at work at starting to think I've lost it. I cant even begin to list the many stupid things I've done this week. Its like my pregnancy brain has returned with vengeance.

Good Luck, I'm told it gets better.

This makes e nervous. I barely got out of the up all night colic phase. LO has finally slept for 5 hours straight 2 nights in a row. Now with your post I'm thinking it's the calm before the storm. :/Sorry you're dealing with that now. I hope it goes by quickly for you if it is the 4 month wakeful!
I only got to enjoy 2 or 3 weeks of decent sleep, before this came along. And by decent I mean 5 or 6 hour stretch. It was so short lived!
