"Weeks of Gestation" ??

I'm still a bit confused on the timeline of pregnancy, as there seems to be no universal way of talking about it.  I'm constantly wondering, "do they mean days/weeks since my last period, or days/weeks since ovulation/conception?".  I got my beta results back today and it was 229.  From what I'm reading this is normal for 4 "weeks of gestation", but I don't know what that means.  Does "gestation" mean the actual time I've been pregnant?  Or does it mean the amount of time since my last period.  We conceived about 2 weeks and 2 days ago, by my LMP was about 5 weeks ago. Any help cracking this code is much appreciated!

I'm guessing they mean 4 weeks of gestation = 4 weeks since LMP.

"Gestation" is the duration of pregnancy. They start counting weeks from the first day of your LMP.

Still better than the "4 weeks = 1 month" people that think pregnancy is 10 months...

Finally!  Out of confusion comes clarity: https://www.betabase.info/  Measuring from DPO makes so much more sense (and is WAY more accurate) than LMP.

It doesn't matter. Just pretend your LMP was 14 days before you ovulated. I had a long cycle and know I ovulated at day 24, but I'm not going to spend the next 8 months telling people how by LMP my due day is July 24, but by O it's August 4... I just moved my dates to what physically is true.
