Tell me about first trimester spotting

Monday I woke up to some CM tinted with blood.  I later had some cramps so I was worried but everything went away in a few hours.

Just now there was a little pinkness when I wiped.

This is all nothing, right?  Tell me not to call my OB because I'm too busy today and tomorrow to drive over there and I don't want to worry for nothing.

I'm still on Crinone if that matters.

My nurses told me that progesterone suppositories and gels can irritate the area and cause some spotting. I had some bleeding at 6w from a hematoma and they felt it may have been irritated by my supps. I would call the OB, but my RE said that they were not overly concerned unless the bleeding was "filling a pad."

I had 2 times of spotting (1 pink/brown, 1 red) went to Dr for both & everything was ok. I always think its good to get checked out though.

I had three episodes. The first was brown spotting at 5 weeks. Definitely cervical irritation per the midwife; she could see it on exam. The second was bright red, almost period like at almost 7 weeks. The final episode was again bright red around 10 weeks. No reason was ever found. No SCH or anything. My doctor's theory was that the placenta was continuing its growing and attaching and that is broke into a good blood vessel. I am now 25 weeks and fine.

I had a gush of blood on Sunday and then it stopped, but it was quite a bit...went to the OB on Monday, and everything was fine. She said a burst blood vessel was likely the cause. But...I would call if it would make you feel better. No harm in calling! I probably would, but I am a worry wart

I had spotting at 9w with my DD. I was on supps and they told me it was irritating my cervix.

I'm sure it's probably fine but if you are nervous and worrying it's best to just call and check in.

The spotting could be from any number of things.  The crinone could be causing it or maybe your placenta trying to cover your cervix (that was what my 1st tri spotting was attributed to... though it was a few weeks earlier).  I would still call and notify them today.  Just because you call, doesn't mean that they'll ask you come in. 

If the cramps went away and it doesn't get any worse... probably nothing to worry about.  Try to take it easy as much as possible and as always... drink lots of water!

I spotted a lot on crinone hun so it really could just be an irritated cervix. However it might ease your mind to call your OB. Maybe when things calm down for you give them a call, it will give you an excuse to see LO again. :-)

Thanks all.  Spotting increased last night, followed by cramping so I went to the OB today and had a surprise NT scan.  Everything is good with Gizmo. But I have an SCH and enlarged ovaries.  They are going to watch both and take me out of work if the bleeding gets worse.  Praying that doesn't happen.

Positive side is strong heart rate and nuchal fold was normal and basal bone present.
