I found various instructions online, but none of them said to prewash/shrink the fabric. Doesn't it make sense to prewash/preshrink so that you don't get warped unpapertowels?
We actually just got a stack of kitchen towels from Costco and use those along with a wet bag for our kitchen purposes. We use tupperware to store food and we just eat off plates and bowls to collect crumbs.
I actually just hammered out a roll of these. I agree with everyone. Be sure to wash and dry your fabric before using them. I didn't do this the first time and my "paper towels" shrunk to more of a wash cloth size
This also helps with snap placement too because everything is shrunk you do't have to worry about it shrinking post snap which can cause bunching around the fabric.
