I have a friend who was pregnant with twins, went into labor 4 months early losing one baby. The other is still being kept alive with medical aid, weighing only a little under 2lbs each.
I am wanting to send her flowers but trying to tread lightly during this delicate time. I am looking at a children's sunflower garden pail basket as maybe an 'in honor of remembrance' gift.
Any suggestions?
Thoughts & prayers are welcome for her other little one fighting on.
Re: Sympathy Suggestions
TP for her, her baby, and her angel.
The best gifts we received were live plants, that we can - and still do, 4.5yrs later - nuture and take care of. We have one rubber plant, that is twice as big and 2 pots with little gardens. One of them has grown so well we have made cuttings for other family members.
The flowers were appreciated but then they died and faded and I had to throw them away, a hard thing to do!
This. Also think of things that will make her life easier during this difficult time. Giftcards to restaurants near the NICU or for pizza to have delivered.
If she is still in the hospital things like dry shampoo (the nice kind) & shower gel can be nice for someone that is stuck in the hospital.
And of course, T&P for the whole family ?

Just remember that whatever you do, your friend will know that your heart is in the right place and it is impossible to hurt her more than she is already hurting.
