Walking -- when is it official??

Sorry. I'm totally commandeering the board today (I refuse to use the term "PW"). 

So Jules just took thirteen steps! Up until now, the most was six at one time. I kinda thought once he hit ten I'd call it "walking". When do YOU consider it official??

I'd call it "official" if they can use it to get somewhere, like from the couch to the chair, or from one parent to the other. 13 steps definitely counts!!

I think the first few steps a baby takes is just that- their first steps. I would say "my son is walking" when he can get from one place to another on more than one occasion.

If he can do 13 steps, that counts!  Within a week, he'll be toddling all over.  Time for some first walking shoes!
