My early UO

Early UO b/c I'm never online long enough Thurs to catch the thread.

UO: I think wearing a sports bra to work out in w/ no shirt is tacky. A bedazzled sports bra is even tackier.

This is common practice for female joggers in my 'hood and members at my gym.

Now for a general statement: Women who work out in sports bras only, fall into two categories: 1. Breast implants who want to show off their expensive bewbies and perma hard nips. These women usually walk on the treadmill for 10 minutes and spend the remainder of the time walking around the gym for attention. 2. Overweight women who probably want to look like #1. They have squishy bellies along with front, side and back bewbies. They also sweat a lot!

Is bellies spelled correctly? It looks funny.

Re: My early UO

  • Thats why I hate my local big -name-gym.

Tons of women there who just walk around the gym chatting it up with dudes.

And how dare overweight women go to the gym and sweat a lot!!!!!!!!!!! That isn't what that place is for!!!!!

  • At one gym I work at, theres only 2 people who do it and its to get attention.  Another gym I teach at you see people disrobe in cycle class a lot.  It's fvckings hot in that room.  I feel weird doing it as the instructor but there have been many a moment when I would have liked to

  • And really, you're a snatch for #2.

I am thin and fit and sweat like the worst sweaty man in the gym.  Size doesn't have a damn thing to do with it.

If you were there doing your own thing and working out like one should in a gym you wouldn't have time to be so judgmental about what others are wearing

  • I like how you know what these overweight women are "probably" wanting to convey with their gross sweat and workout clothes.

This.  I don't understand why this bothers you.

  • That's why it's a UO.

I'm thin and fit and could totally wear a sports bra but choose not to. About the overweight ppl, I think they should wear something more flattering to their body type. Glad their confident tho. Yes, they sweat at the gym (so do I). My shirt hides excess perspiration. I dislike seeing an oil slick front and back with drips of sweat;especially when they are on the equipment in front of me. I feel the same way about men who play ball shirtless-another UO.

  • I agree with you if we're talking about a regular gym. Girls in sports bras on the treadmill not even breaking a sweat are just showing off. But at the crossfit box it is effing hot, hard, sweaty work and girls are not there to show off and I have no problem with any of them being in a sports bra.

ETA: I'm responding to the comment about women going to the gym to parade around. I kind of missed the fat people are gross comment. Whoa.

Have you met KC.  You could be buddies.

I thought KC had changed her name, lol.

If y'all haven't been side-eying OP long before now, you haven't been paying attention.  I wish I could find the thread where she implied that her infant DD is a lesbian because she's not as girly as her DD1.

Ok, I'm back!  I don't remember this post but if it was when DD was an infant it was probably close to a yr ago. Great memory!  Was the post about would I be accepting if one of my kids is gay?  The answer is yes btw. Both girls are very girly now so if one is a homosexual they are more likely to be a lipstick lez. But who knows how they will be next yr.

Nope, I said I sweat too and my shirt absorbs the perspiration similar to your sweat tracks. I dislike viewing shirtless ppl and seeing excess sweat. A shirt will help with the absorption. This also applies to males playing ball as noted in a previous post. One sign of a good work out is sweat-it's natural. A shirt will help with excess.

You should be applauding any overweight person who is making the effort to work out in a gym, sports bra or not. And honestly, if you have time to look at other women in the gym and judge, you're not working out hard enough.
