Early UO b/c I'm never online long enough Thurs to catch the thread.
UO: I think wearing a sports bra to work out in w/ no shirt is tacky. A bedazzled sports bra is even tackier.
This is common practice for female joggers in my 'hood and members at my gym.
Now for a general statement: Women who work out in sports bras only, fall into two categories: 1. Breast implants who want to show off their expensive bewbies and perma hard nips. These women usually walk on the treadmill for 10 minutes and spend the remainder of the time walking around the gym for attention. 2. Overweight women who probably want to look like #1. They have squishy bellies along with front, side and back bewbies. They also sweat a lot!
Is bellies spelled correctly? It looks funny.
Re: My early UO
Thats why I hate my local big -name-gym.
Tons of women there who just walk around the gym chatting it up with dudes.
And how dare overweight women go to the gym and sweat a lot!!!!!!!!!!! That isn't what that place is for!!!!!
And really, you're a snatch for #2.
I am thin and fit and sweat like the worst sweaty man in the gym. Size doesn't have a damn thing to do with it.
If you were there doing your own thing and working out like one should in a gym you wouldn't have time to be so judgmental about what others are wearing
ETA: rocky top beat me to it!
I live in DFW. I'm probably one of these women you hate, because I do this often, especially when it's 110 degrees outside in August. Sorry.*
*not really sorry
Judgey McJudgerpants.
How dare you judge people. I judge you for judging others.
You are hereby- Judged!!
I am the LAW!!!!
This. I don't understand why this bothers you.
That's why it's a UO.
I'm thin and fit and could totally wear a sports bra but choose not to. About the overweight ppl, I think they should wear something more flattering to their body type. Glad their confident tho. Yes, they sweat at the gym (so do I). My shirt hides excess perspiration. I dislike seeing an oil slick front and back with drips of sweat;especially when they are on the equipment in front of me. I feel the same way about men who play ball shirtless-another UO.
You just saved the world by acknowledging our downward spiral of judgments.
Cookies for all.
Pics or it didn't happen.
(Is that how that works?)
I agree with you if we're talking about a regular gym. Girls in sports bras on the treadmill not even breaking a sweat are just showing off. But at the crossfit box it is effing hot, hard, sweaty work and girls are not there to show off and I have no problem with any of them being in a sports bra.
ETA: I'm responding to the comment about women going to the gym to parade around. I kind of missed the fat people are gross comment. Whoa.

If y'all haven't been side-eying OP long before now, you haven't been paying attention. I wish I could find the thread where she implied that her infant DD is a lesbian because she's not as girly as her DD1.
Sounds like an awesome thread.
To this, WHATTHEFLYINGFUCK??????
To the part about fat people in the gym, OP you would love me. I don't quite have the confidence to strip down to my sports bra, but last night I was close. I was sweating like a pig and huffing and puffing. You would have had a heart attack if you saw me. But you know what, my fat a$$ was there and I was trying and that's all that matters.
My wife is the same way. She must be a lesbian too.
Crap, does that mean I am secretly a girl?
I am living a lie.
It was buried in a completely harmless thread. No one noticed it but me and then she went back and edited her post. I thought I called her out on it but Google is letting me down, so I have no proof.
Your memory is amazing. I swear!
You are a credible witness. I will accept your testimony.
She is our wise Chronicler and deserves a title under her avatar.
LOL!
I get super sweaty when I work and I have always wondered if people judged me for it. I guess now I know.
Yeah, I made a comment similar to this and got flamed. Right around the same time where people were bashing a girl for being too thin and gross which naturally no one batted an eye at.
Abort thread, stat.
Seriously. scoutkate has THE best memory ever.
Ok, I'm back! I don't remember this post but if it was when DD was an infant it was probably close to a yr ago. Great memory! Was the post about would I be accepting if one of my kids is gay? The answer is yes btw. Both girls are very girly now so if one is a homosexual they are more likely to be a lipstick lez. But who knows how they will be next yr.
It's people like you that make me hate going to a gym. I just spent the last 6 months losing enough weight to be able to confidently walk into a gym because people like you would have judged me for what I looked like before.
No only if you wear a sports bra w/o a shirt-that's what my UO is about. Exercise is about maintaining a healthy lifestyle and I applaud you for this.
Are you working out in a bedazzled sports bra?
Because a kids personality never changes from toddler age to adolescence to teenager to young adult to tax paying citizen.
Girly now = lipstick lez in the future (if she a homosexual).
Your logic is astounding.
No, I applaud you for your exercise regimen and weight loss. The UO was about sports bra's. Scroll through the thread and see I further explained what I meant about schweaty ppl. I even admit to sweating.
Am I the only one who didn't misread this morning? She wasn't making fun of overweight people going to a gym. She was saying when you work out with no shirt on and therefore no shirt to absorb the sweat it's gross regardless of body type. Put down the pitchforks. She wasn't dissing overweight people who work out.
huh? I don't understand. I was saying their personalities will change. Girly now but who knows next yr. I never said either child is homosexual. I said I would be accepting if one or both were. Did I even say anything? I seriously don't remember several months, a yr or more ago or this thread. My personality changes too.
ETA: added thread for clarity
Then I guess I shouldn't add that part of my motivation was to be able to run in a sports bra. And yes, it would be for the attention. I get it was a UO but they worked hard for that body so more power to them. I know I worked hard for mine.
No, but my shirt doesn't hide excess sweat. I sweat through both. You said you judge the sweat tracks, right?
Everyone who suggested KC and I s/b besties must be right. I compliment your reading comprehension skills. This thread has gone through many off topics...
Ohh. Let's keep that to ourselves ::trots off to re-apply Ravishing Red::
Nope, I said I sweat too and my shirt absorbs the perspiration similar to your sweat tracks. I dislike viewing shirtless ppl and seeing excess sweat. A shirt will help with the absorption. This also applies to males playing ball as noted in a previous post. One sign of a good work out is sweat-it's natural. A shirt will help with excess.

You should be applauding any overweight person who is making the effort to work out in a gym, sports bra or not. And honestly, if you have time to look at other women in the gym and judge, you're not working out hard enough.
