I am throwing in the towel. My child does not have 'black' hair, she does not have 'white' hair...she's got a little bit of everythig going on! In the back, she has a coarser texture, on top, she has big soft curls, and underneath it all, she has Mommy's stick straight hair.
And let me throw in some extra info: I have never in my life been a 'hair' person (nor a makeup person for that matter). I don't own a straightener...can't even figure out how to use them. Haven't owned a curling iron in probably close to 20 years. In the course of my lifetime, I have had two people that have done my hair more than once. For the first 30+ years it was my aunt (who's first career was as a hairdresser) and since my wedding I have been going to the same woman - they both know that I am low maintance/low patience with hair and cut it accordingly. Most mornings I blow dry with a brush, and today it is up in a pony. My mom used to french braid my hair on occasion.
So I have no clue what the hell I am doing...I mean it really doesn't even matter that my child is biracial...I am just clueless! I typically wash her hair every 3-4 days, but now it seems like it is starting to get a little dry...I am just using the aveno hair and body wash.
(DH and I were team green during the pregnancy...thinking for sure we were having a boy because we were both absolutely clueless about raising a girl...and this is where it starts to kick in.)
