Overstimulated?

We had company for about 6 hours yesterday. The LO was asleep for the most part, and I woke him every 2-3 hours to make sure he was fed. But when we went to bed at night, he was awake screaming for hours, until he finally slept for 3 hours. Do you think he was overstimulated by all the new people and being held/out of his routine?

    The first time we had company over after LO was born she was definitely overstimulated.  Sounds just like your situation.  Just too much talking, handling, etc for her.  But she got used to it and it doesn't bother her now.

    Probably. DD has done the same thing (although she doesn't really cry, but whines and has a really hard time sleeping) when we've been out and about for hours or had visitors. We try to limit overstimulation, but it's hard!
